Vaccine hesitancy (VH) is known to play a relevant role in thwarting the efforts toward reaching satisfactory influenza vaccination coverage, and has caused similar difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to describe the phenomenon and produce insights on the reasons behind VH. A survey was administered between December 2020 and February 2021 to adults living in the cities of Bologna and Palermo. Of the 443 subjects enrolled, 47.3% were likely to get the influenza vaccination, while 75.6% were willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. Background: To assess the contribution of physician-related factors, especially their influenza vaccine status, in the vaccination coverage of their patients. Methods: A study of vaccination coverage was carried out in Spain in 2011–12. The dependent variable (vaccination coverage in patients aged ≥65 years) was obtained from regional records. Information was gathered on the vaccination of physicians through an anonymous web survey. To evaluate trends in seasonal influenza vaccination coverage in primary healthcare workers (PHCWs) in Spain between 2008 and 2011.We made an anonymous web survey of PHCWs in 2012. Information on attitudes towards and knowledge of influenza vaccine, and immunization in previous seasons was collected. Self-reported vaccination coverage and factors related to vaccination continuity were analysed.Of 5433 workers contacted, 2625 (48.3%) responded to the survey: 47.0% were general practitioners, 10.3% paediatricians and 42.7% nurses. Abstract Introduction The aim of this study was to clinically assess the capacity of a novel bovine pericardium based, non-cross linked collagen matrix in root coverage. Methods 62 gingival recessions of Miller class I or II were treated. The matrix was adapted underneath a coronal repositioned split thickness flap. Clinical values were assessed at baseline and after six months. Results The mean recession in each patient was 2.2 mm at baseline. 6 Months after surgery 86.7% of the exposed root surfaces were covered. On average 0,3 mm of recession remained. Methods Between March and May 2018, this study was performed to collect the opinions of Pediatric health care professionals, working in emergency departments, regarding the efficacy and safety of the influenza vaccine.
