The aim of the current study is to validate the adaptation of the job demands–resources theory to the study context. In addition, we introduce the concepts study crafting and self-undermining to the study demands–resources framework by examining the mediating role of engagement and exhaustion in the relationship between study characteristics and study crafting and self-undermining. The great fire of medieval Valencia (1447)

ABSTRACT:In March 1447, a great fire broke out in Valencia, caused by a former member of the municipal government. This fire destroyed many houses and craft workshops around the Market Square, the economic centre of the city. The municipal government had to compensate the citizens, who had lost everything, and restore everyday life in the area. A versatile Italian watchmaker living in Valencia was chosen to supervise the rehabilitation of the area. Under his direction, the debris was removed. Then after a conscious campaign of urban planning aimed at eliminating any traces of the old Islamic city, the streets were reconstructed according to the norms of the western city.

The intense development of the «Verlagssystem» in the XVIII century silk industry in Valencia showed the difficulties of the traditional craftsmen to keep their economic independence. In order to fighy against it, the craftsmen adopted several initiatives, which dealt with the constitution of a share-holding company, as much as with the creation of a communal store to favour the suppley of raw materials to the factories. El presente trabajo se basa en el estudio de los 2.077 nuevos maestros que ingresaron en el colegio del arte mayor de la seda de Valencia entre 1686 y 1755, y revela la complejidad de la evolución que experimentó la corporación. El repliegue en favor del propio colectivo artesanal que se produjo en el reclutamiento de sus miembros como respuesta a las dificultades del siglo XVII no tuvo un carácter definitivo, ya que el crecimiento manufacturero de finales de la centuria favoreció el ingreso de candidatos de una procedencia más diversa. This paper is concerned with the control problem of the air-breathing hypersonic vehicle using switched linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems approach. By linearizing the nonlinear model of the hypersonic vehicle at trim points and dividing the velocity scope into several partitions, a switched LPV model for the underlying systems is derived. Experimental and theoretical studies on the structure of several complexes based on (R)-3,3'-Br-2-BINOL ligand and group (IV) metals used as catalysts in an enantioselective Friedel-Crafts alkylation of indoles with alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones have been carried out. NMR spectroscopic studies of these catalysts have been performed, which suggested that at room temperature the catalysts would form a monomeric structure in the case of Ti-IV and a dimeric structure in the cases of Zr-IV and Hf-IV. [EN] The Friedel-Crafts (FC) reaction of N-methyl indole 1 with nitroethylene 2 has been studied using DFT methods at the B3LYP/6-31+G** level in order to characterize the bonding changes along the C-C bond-formation process in polar reactions. For this FC reaction a two-step mechanism has been found. The first step is associated with the C-C bond formation between the most electrophilic centre of nitroethylene and the most nucleophilic centre of N-methyl indole, to yield a zwitterionic intermediate IN. Abstract A procedure for the enantioselective alkylation of indole at the 2-position with simple non-chelating enones is described for the first time. Reaction between 4,7-dihydroindole and enones in the presence of zirconium(IV)–BINOL complexes, followed by a p -benzoquinone oxidation gives indoles alkylated at the 2-position with good yields and moderate enantioselectivities.
