A kulturális különbségek jelentősége a magyar nyelv tanításában
2020
Diplomatic and cultural ties between South Korea and Hungary were established more than 25 years ago. In 1988, the Department of Hungarian Studies was created at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Since its creation, this major workshop of Hungarian studies has become one of the most important supporters and symbols of friendly relations between the two countries. In 2014, I became a member of this prominent department, where I teach Hungarian language and culture in the BA programme. Although I represent and teach my own culture and language, I have realized that it is essential to advance my knowledge in Korean culture, education and language as well. During the past years, I needed to…
The Other Side as a Rule Rather than an Exception
2015
Abstract Currently, intercultural and heterogeneous realities set the tone in 21st literary education. Therefore, the role of multicultural children's literature plays an essential role in order to reflect this intercultural diversity in Spanish classrooms. In this regard, The Other Side (2001) portrays an African American experience where interaction, communication and negotiation become crucial aspects for their protagonists. In this way, this picture book can be used not only to teach English as a foreign language in primary school, but also to show values like respect, tolerance and partnership.

Name creators choose those names from the existing collection of the names derived from the appellatives which are for certain reasons important and valuable for them. For example, the following names of shrubs become a productive toponymic base: hazel, blueberry, rose; they belong to the basic categorization level and are important for the rural community due to their usable and practical significance (in construction a…

2015
En este artículo pretendemos analizar el sentido simbólico y ritual que pudo existir detrás de las cimeras que imitaban animales, como el lobo, y que embellecían los cascos de los guerreros en la Antigüedad. Para ello utilizaremos como hilo conductor la imagen del guerrero ibérico presente en un vaso cerámico encontrado en el departamento 95 del yacimiento ibérico de Edeta, situado en el Cerro de San Miguel de Lliria, conocido como el Vaso de las cabezotas. n this paper we would like to analyse the symbolic meaning and the ritual that could be behind plumes and chimeras imitating animals as the wolf and embellished helmets of the warriors in Antiquity. We will use as a guideline the Iberian…

Measuring tourist satisfaction and dissatisfaction: adaptation of the 4Q methodology to the case of web based data
2019
Tourist satisfaction has been studied so far using many different theoretical approaches and measurement models. In doing that, scholars have considered satisfaction and dissatisfaction either as two extremes on a single continuum or two distinct conceptual dimensions, i.e. tourist satisfaction (TS) and tourist dissatisfaction (TD) (Alegre and Garau, 2010). In line with the latter approach, known as dual approach, the 4Q is a methodology which permits to measure TS and TD through the administration of just four open-ended questions to tourists (Oliveri et al., 2018). The main feature of the 4Q methodology is that data regarding dozens of TS and TD elementary indicators can be drawn from the…

2015
This paper explores the challenge of finding common ground between the Finns and the Chinese in the context of co-operation, trade and inward investment facilitation related to general lack of specific interest displayed by the Chinese. The article is ethnographic in nature and is mainly based on data obtained from interviewing individuals working for local governments in Finland and one of the state agencies responsible for attracting foreign investment. The study uses Speech Codes Theory (Philipsen, 1997) when analyzing the cultural aspects of expectations regarding communication between Chinese and Finns.
