En una época de cambios tecnológicos y sociales, la ciudadanía demanda nuevos canales de participación pública. En los últimos tiempos distintos procesos de participación recurren a la opinión ciudadana para adoptar decisiones. El movimiento de los chalecos amarillos desencadenó una ola de protestas en Francia a la que quiso hacerse frente con el Grand Débat National, un proceso participativo multicanal, a distintos niveles administrativos. El estudio de su desarrollo y resultados debe servir para diseñar futuros procesos similares.

InBO3 and ScBO3 at high pressures: an ab initio study of elastic and thermodynamic properties

We have theoretically investigated the elastic properties of calcite-type orthoborates ABO(3) (A= Sc and In) at high pressure by means of ab initio total-energy calculations. From the elastic stiffness coefficients, we have obtained the elastic moduli (B, G and E), Poisson's ratio (nu), B/G ratio, universal elastic anisotropy index (A(U)), Vickers hardness, and sound wave velocities for both orthoborates. Our simulations show that both borates are more resistive to volume compression than to shear deformation (B > G). This study reports the case of a 55-year-old woman with diabetes with a necrotizing fasciitis of the right lower limb and the perineum, first admitted at the emergency department for septic shock with cardiac arrest, and later transferred to the department of surgery. Microbiological and histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of necrotizing fasciitis caused by Acinetobacter baumanii. A broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy was administered and later readjusted according to the results of microbiological culture. Intensive hemodynamic support was required. A series expansion of the extended Debye-H�ckel equation and application to linear prediction of stability constants

The Debye-Hückel semiempirical extended equation is frequently used to calculate activity coefficients of chemical species and equilibrium constants at ionic strengths different from those used in their experimental evaluation. A series expansion of the extended Debye-Hückel equation is proposed here and checked with experimental data taken from the literature. The expansion is linear in the ionic parameters and yields a geometrical series which converges rapidly and that enables the accurate calculation of interpolated and extrapolated activity coefficients and equilibrium constants by simple and multiple linear regression without previous knowledge of the ionic parameters.

It is inevitable that ethical questions arise in debt collection organizations and leadership, which is then good ground to identify whether debt collection is good or evil. Therefore we consider that a good standpoint for qualitatively explain the ethical dilemmas arising in our case study context. The article adopts a case study approach to examine Finnish Collection Agency Ltd., and applies a qualitative content analysis of interview data gathered by asking five employees to answer ten questions about how they see conflicts between their work and their own ethical thoughts.
