ARC FAULT DETECTION EQUIPMENT AND METHOD USING LOW FREQUENCY HARMONIC CURRENT ANALYSIS

An arc fault detection circuit includes a current sensing circuit coupled to a line conductor carrying a current. The current sensing circuit operates to sense current and output data indicative of the sensed current. A processing circuit implements a frequency transform algorithm to transform the output data to frequency data in a low frequency range and with a high spectral resolution where a minimum short time observation window is concerned. The processing circuit identifies an arc fault condition on the line conductor by identifying differences in said frequency data between at least two subsequent observation windows and identifying characteristics which exceed thresholds.

Taking the political and social problems as the primary key of their works these writers want to remove the defamatory role attributed by the public opinion fomented by the press to Italian immigrated community. Their works don’t have the main intent to stage detectives that can solve a case or unmask a culprit but rather they aim to denounce social distortions corruption and injustices suffered by an entire community and not least to indicate the picture of what on the contrary that same society could have been.

The Oulipian genre is characterized by the transgression of the canonical hierarchy of genres, imposing a set of constraints and writing techniques as the principles for the organization of the literary space. This hybrid generic "form", designated with the neologism "Oulipogenre", which subverts the traditional notion of genre. The Oulipogenre establishes a horizon of kinetic suspension, depriving the reader of identification and decodification of the genre. Sex addiction is a pathology that starts in the adolescence or the early adulthood and has an important impact on social and personal development. Early detection is a key issue, so the aim of this study was to adapt and validate one of the most employed questionnaires for its assessment: the Sexual Addiction Screening Test. For this purpose, 600 young people completed the study surveys. Through a factor analysis, we found that the SAST was composed by 4 subscales that explained 38.38% of the variance. Fabrication of Electrical Contacts on Pyramid-Shaped NTD-Ge Microcalorimeters Using Free-Standing Shadow Masks

In our effort to fabricate arrays of germanium microcalorimeters for X-ray detection, a truncated square-based pyramid shape has been identified as a suitable geometry for the sensors. It allows to obtain a uniform current spreading across each sensor, and represents a good compromise between having a large support area for the radiation absorber and for maintaining an overall small bolometer volume. This three-dimensional geometry, however, does not allow to create the electrical contacts for the sensors using a regular photoresist-based lift-off metallization process. New solutions for energy supply: sea wave and offshore photovoltaic in Sardinia (Italy)

This work illustrates a study on the integration among sea wave farm and off shore photovoltaic in Italian island (Sardinia). In order to exploit both energy sources, the paper presents an innovative prototype, designed and developed by Palermo University. According the data about sea wave and solar energy potential, we evaluated the installation of wave-solar energy farms, based on the prototype presented in this paper.

We report on the electrical and optical comparison, in continuous wave regime, of two novel classes of silicon photomultipliers fabricated in planar technology on silicon P-type and Ntype substrate respectively. A physical explanation of the experimental results is provided.
