Der enge Spinalkanal aus traumatologischer Sicht

Verletzungen der Wirbelsaule sind auch heute noch eine grose Herausforderung fur die behandelnden Unfallchirurgen.Vom Konzept der uberwiegend konservativen Behandlung ist man im letzten Jahrhundert infolge einer differenzierteren Diagnostik gerade bei den sog. instabilen Verletzungen abgekommen. Diskrepanzen bestehen nach wie vor in der Stabilitatsbeurteilung. In den letzten Jahren haben sich sowohl dorsale als auch ventrale oder kombinierte Versorgungen etabliert. Verengte Spinalkanale und neurologische Defizite sind dabei wichtige Faktoren. Anhand der Literatur werden die verschiedenen Vorgehensweisen und Beurteilungen diskutiert und abschliesend unserer eigenes Konzept vorgestellt.

Bei unfallchirurgischen Patienten tritt in bis zu 40% eine tiefe Beinvenenthrombose auf. Das individuelle Risiko kann kaum kalkuliert werden. 518 unfallchirurgische Patienten mit Prophylaxe durch eine tagliche Einzeldosis eines niedermolekularen Heparins (NMH) wurden praoperativ und bis zu 10 Tage postoperativ in einer prospektiven Untersuchung beobachtet. Sie wurden in 2 Gruppen unterteilt: Gruppe I mit Huft- und Oberschenkeloperationen sowie Kniegelenkprothesen und Gruppe II mit Knie- und Unterschenkeloperationen. Inorganic Polyphosphate in Human Osteoblast-like Cells

Significant amounts of inorganic polyphosphates and of polyphosphate-degrading exopolyphosphatase activity were detected in human mandibular-derived osteoblast-like cells. The amount of both soluble and insoluble long-chain polyphosphate in unstimulated osteoblast-like cells was higher than in human gingival cells, erythrocytes, peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and human blood plasma. This study aimed to explore the acute effects of static stretching on the musculotendinous properties of two hamstring muscles. Twelve male volunteers underwent two testing sessions. One session was dedicated to the evaluation of the semitendinosus muscle before (PRE) and after (POST) static stretching (five sets of 30-s stretching), and the other session similarly explored the long head of biceps femoris muscle. Objectives: We aimed to assess the effect of lumbar spine fusion (LSF) on disability, health-related quality of life and mortality in a 5-year follow-up, and to compare these results with the general population. Methods: 523 consecutive LSF operations were included in a prospective follow-up. Introduction: This study aimed to examine the healthy behaviors in undergraduate students of Physical Education (PE) from Ukraine and Poland in comparison to the control sample of students of other faculties. Material and methods: The group of 564 university students (67% of males), ranging in age from 18 to 41 years (M = 22.05, SD = 2.49), was surveyed using a written form of the Health Behavior Inventory (HBI).
