Methods The recommendations were developed by members of the Development Recommendations Group representing seven stakeholder scientific societies and organizations of specialists involved in various forms of care for patients with spinal tumours in Poland. The graffiti left by prisoners in the Inquisition gaols of Palermo's represent a testimony of the historical period between 1600 to 1793. In that period, by order of the viceroy Caracciolo, all the testimonies were removed at the same time in which the Inquisition court was suppressed. In this work the historical subdivision between sacred and profane themes is analyzed with the purpose to study human body in an anthropological key as a language in condition of limited freedom and under torture. Ceļa un gūžas locītavas osteoartrīta ārstēšana izmantojot kaula smadzeņu mononukleārās šūnas

Tika pētīta ceļa un gūžas locītavas osteoartrīta (OA) agrīno stadiju ārstēšana ar sarkano kaula smadzeņu mononukleārām šūnām (KS-MNŠ). Pēc to intraartikulāras injekcijas tika vērtētas OA simptomu un locītavas audu struktūru izmaiņas 32 pacientu grupai ar ceļa un 27 pacientu grupai ar gūžas OA. Klīniskie rezultāti un strukturālās izmaiņas tika izvērtēti 12 mēnešu periodā. Netika novērotas nevēlamas blakusparādības. Tika konstatēts pacientu klīniskā stāvokļa uzlabojums. Salīdzinot ar kontroles grupu, bija vērojams statistiski nozīmīgs pārsvars sāpju mazināšanā KS-MNŠ grupas pacientiem. Estudio prospectivo aleatorizado sobre la influencia del bloqueo distal del clavo Gamma 3 en el tratamiento de las fracturas pertrocantéreas de fémur

Objetivo El propósito de este estudio es valorar la necesidad de bloquear distalmente los clavos Gamma 3 (Stryker. Mahwah, New Jersey. USA) en fracturas pertrocantéreas de fémur 31-A1 y 31-A2 de la AO. Material y métodos Desde junio de 2011 hasta enero de 2013 se recoge una muestra formada por 177 pacientes con fractura pertrocantérea de fémur tratados en nuestro centro mediante osteosíntesis con clavo Gamma 3 estándar. Es un estudio prospectivo y aleatorizado según el año de nacimiento de cada paciente, par con bloqueo o impar sin bloqueo distal del clavo, formando dos grupos de 90 y 87 fracturas respectivamente.
