Improved Expression of His6-Tagged Strictosidine Synthase cDNA for Chemo-Enzymatic Alkaloid Diversification

Strictosidine synthase (STR1) catalyzes the stereoselective formation of 3alpha(S)-strictosidine from tryptamine and secologanin. Strictosidine is the key intermediate in the biosynthesis of 2,000 plant monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, and it is a key precursor of enzyme-mediated synthesis of alkaloids. An improved expression system is described which leads to optimized His(6)-STR1 synthesis in Escherichia coli. Optimal production of STR1 was achieved by determining the impact of co-expression of chaperones pG-Tf2 and pG-LJE8. In order to engage our students in this new methods, we have designed a project called “Communicative English Language Skills Improvement Program” (CELSIP) so our learners will be able to achieve a higher communicative level in English through a wide range of multimedia resources as, for instance, audio-books, learning apps, educational websites, TV series, films, board games, and music. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir novērtēt Ministru kabineta rīkojumā “Par Uzņēmējdarbības vides pilnveidošanas pasākumu plānu 2019.-2022.gadam” ietverto rīcības virzienu un uzdevumu atbilstību uzņēmējdarbības aktivitātes veicināšanā un uzņēmējdarbības slogu mazināšanā Latvijā. Uzņēmējdarbības vides faktori ir gan kvantitatīvi, gan kvalitatīvi, tāpēc vidi un to atšķirības starp valstīm nevar kvantificēt objektīvi. Cik atbilstošs ir Doing Business juridiskās vides modelis, lai uz tā bāzes plānotu valsts uzņēmējdarbības vides attīstību? Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt galvenos faktorus, kas ietekmē Latvijas, Igaunijas un Apvienotās Karalistes uzņēmējdarbības vides attīstību. Balstoties uz starptautiskajiem pētījumiem, ekspertu intervijām un nerezidentu uzņēmēju sniegtajām atbildēm noteikt, kuri faktori uzskatāmi par uzņēmējdarbības vides priekšrocībām un kuri par trūkumiem Latvijā, Igaunijā un Apvienotajā Karalistē. Latvijas, Igaunijas un Apvienotās Karalistes salīdzinājums izskatīts laika posmā no 2014. -2018. gadam. Noslēgumā autore apkopo analizēto valstu uzņēmējdarbības vidi ietekmējošo faktoru priekšrocības un trūkumus, un sniedz ieteikumus Latvijas uzņēmējdarbības vides uzlabošanai.

Darbu izstrādāja LU Biznesa, vadības un ekonomikas fakultātes Vadības zinības bakalaura studiju programmas 4. kursa studente Grieta Vojecka. Darba tēma – “Latvijas uzņēmējdarbības vides attīstības prognozes”. Darba mērķis ir izanalizēt, kādi uzņēmējdarbības vidi raksturojošie rādītāji ietekme uzņēmuma dibināšanas lēmumu, un izveidot prognozi par Latvijas uzņēmējdarbības vidi ietekmējošu rādītāju tendencēm. Darba uzdevumi ir izpētīt, kādi eksistē uzņēmējdarbības vidi ietekmējoši rādītāji, izanalizēt indeksus, izpētīt Latvijas uzņēmējdarbības vidi un veikt prognozi, kā mainīsies vide triju gadu laikā. Objective: The construct validity of the modified six-minute walk test (m6MWT) was examined by addressing the following questions: 1) do participants attain a steady state plateau in heart rate (HR) within the range of 110-150 beats per minute? 2) at what percentage of their predicted HR maximum were participants during each minute of the test? Material and Methods: Participants were 36 (male=56%) Special Olympics athletes aged 34.4 years (SD = 12.7). Following familiarization, participants completed the m6MWT while wearing a Polar Team 2 heart rate monitor. Studies reporting numbers of eggs in vagina and utero in nematodes often give little information of the technique used for the estimations. This situation hampers comparison among studies, because, so far, differences in estimations provided by different techniques have not been assessed. Aim: Collagen-enriched transfersomes, glycerosomes and glytransfersomes were specifically tailored for skin delivery of oleuropein. Methods: Vesicles were prepared by direct sonication and their main physicochemical and technological properties were measured. Biocompatibility, protective effect and promotion of the healing of a wounded cell monolayer were tested in vitro using fibroblasts. Results: Vesicles were mainly multicompartment, small (∼108 nm), slightly polydispersed (approximately 0.27) and negatively charged (~-49 mV).
