Target Audience Analysis (TAA) is a process of finding suitable target audiences for psychological operations (PSYOPS). Typically, a TAA is a one-way process with some kind of a feedback system. The cyber domain presents a challenge to this type of sequential, linear process by refusing to stay still while the process is being executed, possibly leading to results from yesterday’s data in an environment that no longer exists today. The subventricular zone (SVZ) is one of the sources of adult neural stem cells (ANSCs) in the mouse brain. Precursor cells proliferate in the SVZ and migrate through the rostral migratory stream (RMS) to the olfactory bulb (OB), where they differentiate into granule and periglomerular cells. Few transcription factors are known to be responsible for regulating NSC proliferation, migration, and differentiation processes; even fewer have been found to be responsible for the organization of the SVZ and RMS. Terahertz electromagnetic radiation is extremely useful for numerous applications such as imaging and spectroscopy. Dynamical amplification of electric polarization through nonlinear phononics in 2D SnTe

2020

Ultrafast optical control of ferroelectricity using intense terahertz fields has attracted significant interest. Here we show that the nonlinear interactions between two optical phonons in SnTe, a two-dimensional in-plane ferroelectric material, enables a dynamical amplification of the electric polarization within subpicoseconds time domain. Our first-principles time-dependent simulations show that the infrared-active out-of-plane phonon mode, pumped to nonlinear regimes, spontaneously generates in-plane motions, leading to rectified oscillations in the in-plane electric polarization. Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy based on photoconductive antennas

In this work, we present our first experimental results obtained by means of a THz-TDS setup based on photoconductive antennas (PCAs). The main elements of the setup are: i) a mode-locked Ti:Sapphire femtosecond laser (Mai-Tai SP - Spectra Physics), providing optical pulses at 800±20 nm with a duration < 50 fs and repetition rate of 84 MHz; ii) two photoconductive antennas, made in LT-GaAs (Low-Grown Temperature Gallium Arsenide), operating as THz emitter and detector; iii) an optical delay line.

Real time monitoring of water level and temperature in storage fuel pools through optical fibre sensors

AbstractWe present an innovative architecture of a Rayleigh-based optical fibre sensor for the monitoring of water level and temperature inside storage nuclear fuel pools. This sensor, able to withstand the harsh constraints encountered under accidental conditions such as those pointed-out during the Fukushima-Daiichi event (temperature up to 100 °C and radiation dose level up to ~20 kGy), exploits the Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometry technique to remotely monitor a radiation resistant silica-based optical fibre i.e. its sensing probe. Many translation scholars have proposed the use of corpora to allow professional translators to produce high quality texts which read like originals.
