This essay aims at identifying the main contributions of feminist historiography to the debate on biography and on the theoretical and methodological issues it raises for the writing of History. Some of the issues in which its contribution has been and is crucial for the writing of History are: understanding biography as an ideologically and socially situated practice, admitting the connection between biography and autobiography, taking seriously the historicity and complex relationship between «public» and «private», and conceiving the self as multiple, mobile and inserted in relation networks. The performative representation of the Spanish Roma woman reveals a historical journey that brings her closer to many symbolic elaborations of the feminine, giving her a special affinity with the imaginary concerning the colonized woman, particularly with the Orientalist vision. En els darrers vint-i-cinc anys l’interès pels estudis de traducció i la relació amb el gènere ha propiciat una recerca abundant i diversa. Aquest article mira d’oferir una visió panoràmica sobre la intersecció de la traducció i els estudis de gènere en el context de la llengua catalana, un punt de partida per a recerques futures. D’una banda, donem notícia dels principals treballs, panoràmics i específics, que se centren en la recuperació de traductores catalanes i els seus escrits. De l’altra, repassem les teories que han plantejat la intersecció gènere i traducció en català.

El propósito de este artículo es analizar las aristas de la Directiva sobre la Orden Europea de Protección cuando se trata de proteger a las víctimas de violencia de género. El inexistente concepto de víctima de violencia de género dificulta sobremanera el adecuado uso del instrumento y nos muestra cuánta Europa queda por construir. Al final del artículo proponemos la creación de una medida cautelar civil para acercarnos al resto de ordenamientos jurídicos de nuestro entorno y facilitar el reconocimiento mutuo.

Two species of the genus ParaethusJ. A. Lis, 1994 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae: Cydninae: Geotomini) are transferred to ProlactistesJ. A. Lis, 2001, resulting in the following new combinations: Prolactistes jani(J. A. Lis, 1995), comb. nov., and Prolactistes lisi(Magnien, 2014), comb. nov. Diagnostic characters for Prolactistes, and a key for its three species are provided. The present note also reports the first Indonesian record for Prolactistes australisJ. A. Lis, 2001 (Ambon Island, Timor) and P. lisi(Ambon Island), both known previously only from Australia.
Invisible work, unseen hazards: the health of women immigrant household service workers in Spain

BACKGROUND: Household service work has been largely absent from occupational health studies. We examine the occupational hazards and health effects identified by immigrant women household service workers. METHODS: Exploratory, descriptive study of 46 documented and undocumented immigrant women in household services in Spain, using a phenomenological approach. Data were collected between September 2006 and May 2007 through focus groups and semi-structured individual interviews.
