Collective Modes and Structural Modulation in Ni-Mn-Ga(Co) Martensite Thin Films Probed by Femtosecond Spectroscopy and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy.

International audience; The origin of the martensitic transition in the magnetic shape memory alloy Ni-Mn-Ga has been widely discussed. While several studies suggest it is electronically driven, the adaptive martensite model reproduced the peculiar nonharmonic lattice modulation. We used femtosecond spectroscopy to probe the temperature and doping dependence of collective modes, and scanning tunneling microscopy revealed the corresponding static modulations. We show that the martensitic phase can be described by a complex charge-density wave tuned by magnetic ordering and strong electron-lattice coupling.

International audience; To advance our understanding of land-atmosphere exchanges of water, energy and carbon dioxide (CO2) in space and time over heterogeneous land surfaces, two intensive field campaigns were carried out at the Barrax agricultural test site in Spain during 12-21 July 2004 (SPARC 2004) and 8-14 July 2005 (SEN2FLEX 2005) involving multiple field, satellite and airborne instruments for characterizing the state of the atmosphere, the vegetation and the soil from the visible to the microwave range of the spectrum. Naltrexone antagonizes acetaldehyde-induced increments in dopamine neurons activity

Abstract Acetaldehyde is the main metabolite of ethanol ingested through alcoholic beverages. Traditionally considered aversive is presently being viewed as an activating agent of the mesolimbic dopamine system but underlying mechanisms are only partially known. Here we show that acetaldehyde-induced increase in firing rate, burst firing and spikes/burst of antidromically-identified ventro-tegmental area Nucleus Accumbens-projecting neurons are abolished by pretreatment with the opiate unselective antagonist naltrexone (1mg/kg/ip). Exergaming has also become a subject of growing interest among academic researchers. They can be used to motivate people towards more active and a healthier lifestyle. This study examines the adoption and habits of playing exergames, focusing especially on whether and how exercise and gaming backgrounds are associated with the usage of these types of games. Kopš 2018.gada Latvijā ir veiktas būtiskas izmaiņas normatīvajos aktos, ierobežojot bērnu adopciju uz ārvalstīm, kas veiktas ar mērķi veicināt nacionālā līmeņa adopciju un samazināt ārpusģimenes aprūpē esošo bērnu izbraukšu uz ārvalstīm. Vienlaikus valsts līmenī nav veikti pietiekami pasākumi, lai nodrošinātu bērnu nonākšanu ģimenē. Turklāt līdz šim nav veiktas darbības, lai izvērtētu “adopcijas noslēpuma” atbilstību bērna tiesībām zināt savu izcelšanos, kā arī šī tiesiskā regulējuma ietekmi uz adoptētāju izvēli adoptēt bērnus. Darba ietvaros tiks apskatītas, kādas, kādas ir adopcijas stiprās puses, vājās puses, kā arī tendences laika posmā no 2003. gada līdz 2019. gadam. Darba teorētiskajai daļai izmantota tiek sociālās politikas teorija. Darba pētījums ir fokusēts uz Latvijas adopcijas politikas analīzi.
