The determinants affecting on the investment proposals adoption

2016

Tietoturvallisuusaloitteisiin vaikuttavien tekijöiden tunnistamisen ohella tutkimusmenetelmän vaikutus tuloksiin on käsitelty. Useita suosituksia ilmiön jatkotutkimukselle sekä tutkimusmenetelmän kehittämiselle on esitetty. Information security field lacks of understanding of how to succeed with in-vestments proposals. This theoretical stud…

Advantages of Public Cloud Infrastructure in Different Technology Adoption Lifecycle Stages

2012

Independent software vendors (ISV) utilize cloud infrastructure for different reasons. We hypothesize that the motivation to adopt cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) changes as the ISV’s product is getting adopted by the market. In this paper we consider how the infrastructure needs of ISVs change along the stages of ISV product’s adoption lifecycle, and analyze the potential benefits of utilizing IaaS in different stages. The analysis is illustrated with the cases of ISV firms with documented use of IaaS. These cases support the hypothesis that different benefits of IaaS are gaining importance along the adoption lifecycle. peerReviewed

Critical Experiences During the Implementation of a Self-tracking Technology

2016

Emerging technologies have brought several new ways to track, measure and evaluate own activity. Well-being, nutrition, physical training, mood, and sleep are a few of the various measures that can be self-tracked by different technological solutions. At the same time, people are becoming more interested in themselves and their own well-being, and constant tracking of own activities is getting more and more popular both on individual level as well as in general healthcare. This study examines critical experiences that occur during the implementation phase of the innovation-decision process and their influence to adopting or rejecting a self-tracking technology. The study is qualitative in n…

Surfactant-assisted synthesis of Cd1−xCoxS nanocluster alloys and their structural, optical and magnetic properties

2010

We report the synthesis of Co-doped CdS nanoclusters (Cd1−xCoxS) for different doping concentrations (x = 0.10, 0.20 and 0.30) and characterization of their structural, optical, and magnetic properties. The structural properties studied by X-ray diffraction revealed hexagonal-greenockite structure and a decrease of the lattice parameters (a and c) with doping, showing incorporation of Co in the lattice. The morphology of the nanoclusters was studied by scanning electron microscopy. The optical absorption studies, using diffused reflectance spectroscopy, revealed that Co doping modifies the absorption band edge. Ferromagnetic phase was observed in the magnetization measurements at room-tempe…

Anion exchange membrane based on alkali doped poly(2,5-benzimidazole) for fuel cell

2012

Abstract The properties of alkali doped poly(2,5-benzimidazole) membrane with different alkali doping levels for fuel cell application are reported in this work. The alkali doping level played an important role for the ion conductivity of the membrane. The ion conductivity significantly increased with alkali doping level. The ion conductivity also increased with the temperature. The ion conductivity of the alkali doped ABPBI membrane (alkali doping level = 0.37), reached to 2.3 × 10 − 2  S cm − 1 at room temperature and 7.3 × 10 − 2  S cm − 1 at 100 °C. The water uptake of the alkali doped ABPBI membrane was increased from 9.1% to 19.2% with increasing alkali doping level at room temperatur…

Fe-doped Beta zeolite from organotemplate-free synthesis for NH3-SCR of NOx

2016

Two types of Beta zeolites, one from organotemplate-free synthesis with a Si/Al ratio of 9 and the other from a commercial one with a Si/Al ratio of 19, were employed here to dope Fe for NH3-SCR of NOx. Fe-Beta (Si/Al = 9) exhibits much higher activity than Fe-Beta (Si/Al = 19), especially at low-temperature regions (<250 °C). In addition, it also exhibits better hydrothermal stability as compared with Fe-Beta (Si/Al = 19), which demonstrates that it is a promising SCR catalyst with good activity as well as hydrothermal stability. The correlation between the quantitative calculation of the content of isolated Fe3+ in Beta zeolites and the NO conversion rate at 150 °C shows a linear relation…

Monolayer graphene doping and strain dynamics induced by thermal treatments in controlled atmosphere

2018

Time dynamics of doping and strain induced in single layer graphene by thermal treatments up to 300 degrees C in vacuum, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and oxygen controlled atmosphere are deeply studied by Raman spectroscopy and they are compared with its morphological evolution investigated by Atomic Force Microscopy. The reaction dynamics in oxygen treatments is determined down to a time scale of few minutes as well as that of dedoping process made by water vapor treatment. The interplay of strain modification and doping effects is separated. The strain is clarified to be strongly influenced by the cooling time. The doping removal is dominated by the water vapor, showing that the concentration…

Structure-activity relationship of dopaminergic halogenated 1-benzyl-tetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives

2009

Two series of halogenated 1-benzyl-7-chloro-6-hydroxy-tetrahydroisoquinolines were prepared to explore the influence of each series on the affinity for dopamine receptors. All the compounds displayed a high affinity for D(1)-like and/or D(2)-like dopamine receptors in striatal membranes, although they were unable to inhibit [(3)H]-dopamine uptake in striatal synaptosomes. The halogen placed on the benzylic ring in 1-benzyl-THIQs, compounds of the series 1, 2'-bromobenzyl derivatives with K(i) values into the nanomolar range, and the series 2, 2',4'-dichlorobenzyl-THIQ homologues, proves to be an important factor to modulate affinity at dopamine receptor. Effect of air on oxygen p-doped graphene on SiO2

2016

Stability in ambient air or in vacuum-controlled atmosphere of molecular oxygen-induced p-type doping of graphene monolayer on SiO2 substrate on Si is investigated by micro-Raman spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The Raman 2D and G bands spectral positions and amplitude ratio are affected by the permanence in air atmosphere in a time scale of months whereas the vacuum safely maintains the doping effects determined through Raman bands. No morphological effects are induced by the doping and post-doping treatments. A reactivity of ambient molecular gas with stably trapped oxygen is suggested to induce the doping modification.
