New trends in teacher’s education. Educational placement of the adopted child

Abstract In Italy, the number of adopted school-age children is increasing. According to the Commission of Intercountry Adoption (2013), 3106 children were adopted, 47.5% of them are between 5 and 9 years old. The present action-research aims at exploring the spread of good approaches in schools in terms of welcoming of adopted children. For this purpose, 268 teachers of primary schools were involved in analyzing the social representation about adopted children and their family. The results show a simplified vision of the adoptive family, which is described as heroic family or, on the contrary, as a family with difficulty.
Adopting sustainable irrigation technologies in Italy: a study on the determinants of inter- and intra-farm diffusion

This paper analyses the drivers for adopting irrigation systems with water conservation and saving technologies (WCSTs) by Italian farmers. The agricultural sector in Italy, like in other Mediterranean countries, suffers from water scarcity and water endowment variability. Water resources play a decisive role in agricultural production and in implementing large-scale WCSTs capable of improving the resilience of the whole agricultural sector. The WEBT BL Lacertae Campaign 2001 and its extension : Optical light curves and colour analysis 1994–2002

BL Lacertae has been the target of four observing campaigns by the Whole Earth Blazar Telescope (WEBT) collaboration. In this paper we present UBVRI light curves obtained by theWEBT from 1994 to 2002, including the last, extended BL Lac 2001 campaign. A total of about 7500 optical observations performed by 31 telescopes from Japan to Mexico have been collected, to be added to the ∼15 600 observations of the BL Lac Campaign 2000. All these data allow one to follow the source optical emission behaviour with unprecedented detail. Tässä tutkimuksessa analysoidaan kansainvälisesti adoptoitujen nuorten aikuisten suhdetta ensikieleensä Suomessa. Tarkoituksena on selvittää, kuinka paljon adoptoituilla on muistijälkiä ensikielestään ja minkälainen heidän kiinnostuksensa ensikieltä kohtaan on tällä hetkellä. Työssä analysoidaan myös kansainvälisesti adoptoitujen kielellistä identiteettiä ja sitä, millainen asema ensikielellä ja suomen kielellä siinä on. Informantteja oli kolme: kaksi naista ja yksi mies. Consumer adoption of mobile technologies: a literature review

Although the total number of mobile subscriptions reached 6.8 billion worldwide (ITU, 2013) confirming in the process that mobile technology is widespread, academic literature has so far focused only on explaining adoption of mobile technology and services. This literature review analyses 67 studies from the period 2005-2013 and finds the following: a) most studies are quantitative in nature and come from Asia; b) the Technology Acceptance Model is the most used theory; c) future research should also utilise qualitative methods and examine the behavioural outcomes of mobile adoption instead of simply adoption in consumer markets. peerReviewed

Näkökulmana historiallisessa tarkastelussa on adoptoidun ja biologisen van-hemman välinen yhteydenpito. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan normatiivisen, oikeushistoriallisen näkökulman kautta lapsen osallisuutta ja sen institutionalistista muutosta suomalaisessa adoptiojärjestelmässä. Keskeinen kysymys on, miten ja miksi lapsen asema osallistuvana subjektina on historiallisesti määritelty ja muuttunut adoptiota ja lastensuojelua koskevassa lainsäädännössä. This study describes the parasitoid species complex associated with seven closely related species of sexual (Siederia rupicollella, S. listerella, Dahlica lazuri, D. charlottae and D. lichenella) and parthenogenetic (Dahlica fennicella and D. triquetrella) Naryciinae (Lepidoptera: Psychidae) in Central Finland. A thorough ecological analysis of all the species of parasitoids recorded was combined with analyses of molecular data. Phase-Sensitive Detection for Optical Sensing With Porous Silicon

We report on a photonic sensor with an ultralow limit of detection (LoD) based on a phase interrogation readout scheme together with an anisotropic porous silicon (PSi) membrane. First, the fabrication of porous free-standing membranes from medium doped (100) surface oriented silicon, with pore diameters suitable for the infiltration of biomolecules, around 50 nm, is reported. Then, the phase interrogation scheme for characterizing the PSi membranes is presented whose results show that while volumetric sensitivity increases with the membrane thickness, the resolution in the birefringence measurements decrease dramatically due to depolarization effects.
