Genetic polymorphism of human complement factor I (C3b inactivator) in the Chinese Han population.

The human complement factor I (IF) polymorphism has been analysed by polyacrylamide gel isoelectric focusing electrophoresis of neuraminidase-treated EDTA plasma samples followed by immunoblotting and enzymatic detection. In a population study among 121 random individuals from Chengdu, PR China, three different common phenotypes were observed. The results show that IF is polymorphic in the Chinese population. The allele frequencies were as follows: FI*A = 0.153, FI*B = 0.847. The distribution of observed phenotypes was in accordance with the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Viroids of the family Avsunviroidae, such as eggplant latent viroid (ELVd), contain hammerhead ribozymes and replicate in the chloroplasts of the host plant through an RNA-based symmetrical rolling-circle mechanism in which oligomeric RNAs of both polarity are processed to monomeric linear RNAs (by cleavage) and to monomeric circular RNAs (by ligation). Abstract The unicellular green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii is a particularly important model organism for the study of photosynthesis since this alga can grow heterotrophically, and mutants in photosynthesis are therefore conditional rather than lethal. In the present paper it is presented a methodology to calculate the surface temperature (ST) from the combination of the radiometric temperature in two different DAIS (Digital Airborne Imaging Spectrometer) thermal bands using split-window (sw) method. To get this objective the MODTRAN 3.5 radiative transfer code was used to predict radiance for DAIS channels 74 (8.75 µm), 75 (9.65 µm), 76 (10.48 µm), 77 (1 1.27 µm), 78 (12.00 µm) and 79 (12.67 µm) at different aircraft altitudes with the appropriate channel filter functions.
