XA2C Framework for XML Alteration/Adaptation

2010

XML has crossed the borders of software engineering and has spread to other areas such as e-commerce, identification, information storage, instant messaging and others. It is used to communicate crucial data over these domains. Thus, allowing non-expert programmers to manipulate and control their XML data is essential. In the literature, this issue has been dealt with from 3 perspectives: (i) XML alteration/adaptation techniques requiring a certain level of expertise to be implemented and are not unified yet, (ii) mashups, which are not formally defined yet and are not specific to XML data, and (iii) XML-oriented visual languages based on structural transformations and data extraction mainl…

Mapping SPARQL Query to temporal logic query based on NμSMV Model Checker to Query Semantic Graphs

2012

International audience; The RDF (W3C standard for metamodeling) language is the most frequently used to represent the semantic graphs. This paper presents a new research combining different fields that are: the semantic web and the model checking. We developed a tool, RDF2NμSMV, which converts RDF graphs into NμSMV language. This conversion aims checking the semantic graphs that have numerous errors of interpretation with the model checker NμSMV in order to verify the consistency of the data. The SPARQL query language is the standard for querying the semantic graph but have a lot of limitations. To this purpose, we define a translation from the SPARQL query language into the temporal logic …

Constraints on the origin of cosmic rays above 10^18 eV from large-scale anisotropy searches in data of the Pierre Auger Observatory

2012

A thorough search for large-scale anisotropies in the distribution of arrival directions of cosmic rays detected above 10(18) eV at the Pierre Auger Observatory is reported. For the first time, these large-scale anisotropy searches are performed as a function of both the right ascension and the declination and expressed in terms of dipole and quadrupole moments. Within the systematic uncertainties, no significant deviation from isotropy is revealed. Upper limits on dipole and quadrupole amplitudes are derived under the hypothesis that any cosmic ray anisotropy is dominated by such moments in this energy range. These upper limits provide constraints on the production of cosmic rays above 10(…

The Influence of the feedback control of the hexapod platform of the SAAM dynamic driving simulator on neuromuscular dynamics of the drivers

2012

Multi sensorial cues (visual, auditory, haptic, inertial, vestibular, neuromuscular) [Ang2] play important roles to represent a proper sensation (objectively) and so a perception (subjectively as cognition) in driving simulators. Driving simulator aims at giving the sensation of driving as in a real case. For a similar situation, the driver has to react in the same way as in reality in terms of ‘self motion’. To enable this behavior, the driving simulator must enhance the virtual immersion of the subject in the driving situation. The subject has to perceive the motion of his own body in the virtual scene of the virtual car as he will have in a real car. For that reason, restituting the iner…

The STDS Dijon system : Present status and prospects.

2009

The Dijon spectroscopy group has developed powerful techniques based on group theory and tensorial formalism in order to analyze and simulate absorption and Raman spectra of molecules with various symmetries. Software packages and databases implementing these tools have been created [1]. Compared to the widely used spectroscopic databases (HITRAN, GEISA), these packages, with their XTDS common interface [2], are primarily devoted to the calculation of line parameters and spectra from a database of model parameters. Future developments include improved fitting algorithms, inclusion of C3v symmetric tops, rovibronic couplings, uncertainty estimates. Moreover, calculated line lists will be acc…

Parabolic pulse generation through passive reshaping of gaussian pulses in a normally dispersive fiber

2007

We numerically and experimentally demonstrate that a Gaussian pulse can be reshaped into a pulse with a stable parabolic intensity profile during propagation in normally dispersive nonlinear fibers.

Orientation of Polar Molecules by Laser Induced Adiabatic Passage

2002

International audience; We show that two overlapping linearly polarized laser pulses of frequencies ω and its second harmonic 2ω can strongly orient linear polar molecules, by adiabatic passage along dressed states. The resulting robust orientation can be interpreted as a laser-induced localization in the effective double well potential created by the fields, which induces a preliminary molecular alignment. The direction of the orientation can be selected by the relative phase of the fields.

Vibrating and shaking soliton pairs in dissipative systems

2007

We show that two-soliton solutions in nonlinear dissipative systems can exist in various forms. As with single solitons, they can be stationary, periodic or chaotic. In particular, we find new types of vibrating and shaking soliton pairs. Each type of pair is stable in the sense that the bound state exists in the same form indefinitely. © 2006 Elsevier B.V. Near-field control of optical bistability in a nanocavity

2009

Micro- and nanocavities allow for strong light confinement in very small volume [1]. They give opportunities for new experiments such as cavity quantum electrodynamics, waveguiding, light slowing or trapping…[2] The increase of the electromagnetic (EM) field in the cavity enhances the interaction between light and matter, resulting in the possible observation of nonlinear effects [3]. Several studies have recently been published on the observation and characterisation of nonlinear silicon cavities [4]. As a step further, we propose and demonstrate the feasibility of an innovative way to mechanically control the bistable operating regime of a nanovavity. Using a near-field tip, we switch the…
