Aging of the world’s population represents one of the most remarkable success stories of medicine and of humankind, but it is also a source of various challenges. The aim of the collaborative cross-cultural European study of adult well being (ESAW) is to frame the concept of aging successfully within a causal model that embraces physical health and functional status, cognitive efficacy, material security, social support resources, and life activity. The aim of this study was to analyze the patterns of investigator and institutional collaboration in papers published in the Revista Española de Cardiología.Details of coauthorship and institutional collaboration involved in articles published in the Revista Española de Cardiología in the period 2000-2005 were recorded and a collaboration index was derived. Collaboration networks were identified using the TextToPajek and PAJEK software tools.Of the 980 papers analyzed, 95.1% had been authored by two or more individuals and 51.43% involved institutional collaboration. Digitizing maps procedure for scientific forestry administration by GIS database. Case study: Rasinari forestry administration

This study aims to detail the computerization and digitization process of forest management of Rasinari forest district, Sibiu county. The study focuses on the transition from the printed design of management plans, which includes forest management plans and forest maps, in digital format. The digital model of management plans was originally tested on a single management plan and then extended to all management plans and is now implemented in a GIS database that can be viewed online as well.
