Can we increase children’s rights endorsement and knowledge?: A pilot study based on the reference framework of competences for democratic culture

This pilot study is the first to examine whether a novel curriculum based on the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture (RFCDC) could increase children’s endorsement and knowledge of children’s rights. We conducted a pre-test-post-test design with an intervention and a comparison school. Pupils (n = 172) from Bulgaria, Italy, Norway, Romania, and Spain attended schools in which the curriculum was taught, whereas pupils in the comparison group (n = 120) attended schools in the same city where the curriculum was not taught. Resum: Aquest treball s’ocupa dels demostratius no situacionals com a unitats díctiques textuals i s’hi discuteix el grau d’activació o estat cognitiu dels seus referents des del marc teòric de la jerarquia de topicalitat de Gundel, Hedberg & Zacharski (1993) i de la teoria del centrat.Per determinar l’estat cognitiu dels referents dels demostratius, es parteix d’un corpus constituït per la narració Peter Pan de J. M. Barrie i dues traduccions deltext, al català i a l’espanyol. El presente estudio pretende resolver la controversia en torno a la identidad y procedencia del poeta Filóxeno, célebre ditirambógrafo del siglo V-IV a.C. Para ello, hemos recopilado todos los testimonios que citan a personajes con el nombre de Filóxeno desde la primera mención de Aristófanes. La investigación ha revelado que existen varios individuos con el mismo nombre y rasgos comunes. No obstante, el examen de estos testimonios revela la existencia de un único autor de ditirambos: Filóxeno de Citera. Six- and seven-membered benzo-fused cyclic homoallylic alcohols can be readily synthesized by a tandem chiral BrOnsted acid-catalyzed allyl (crotyl)boration/ring closing metathesis sequence performed under orthogonal relay catalysis conditions. Excellent enantio- and diastereoselectivities are obtained in most of the cases. In addition, the parent crotylboration/RCM process is also described. The required substrates, ortho-vinylbenzaldehydes, are readily available in one step from commercially available starting materials. In this work we describe an instrument based on the use of a factor analysis technique in order to measure the quality of education within a Postgraduate degree offered by a public Spanish university. We showed that the instrument has satisfactory psychometric properties (reliability and validity). Regarding the factorial solution, three main dimensions have been determined, namely: importance given to the subject; educational resources and knowledge of the subject (previous and posterior).
