Este artículo establece una conexión relevante entre la filosofía de la educación de John Dewey y las comunas hippies de los Estados Unidos durante los años sesenta y setenta. Después de analizar la filosofía de Dewey en el contexto de la contracultura de los años sesenta, el artículo resume y organiza la filosofía de Dewey en torno a los conceptos de crecimiento, experiencia, educación, democracia y ocupaciones. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wspólnych dla pragmatyzmu i feminizmu obszarów zainteresowań oraz idei. Zadanie to zostaje zrealizowane w dwóch etapach. Po pierwsze, badanie historycznych korzeni pragmatyzmu służy rzuceniu światła na powiązania istniejące pomiędzy wczesnopragmatystycznymi ideami a ideałami ruchu feministycznego. Na tym etapie przedmiotem analizy są koncepcje: C.S. Peirce’a, W. Jamesa, J. Deweya, J. Addams i R. Rorty’ego. Making experts-by-experience : governmental ethnography of participatory initiatives in Finnish social welfare organisations

This dissertation analyses expertise-by-experience in Finnish social welfare organisations as part of the participatory practices presented as new democracy. It employs a governmental ethnographic method to investigate how a person with difficult experiences is made into ‘an expert of one’s own life’ and how the subjectivity thus created is connected to different possibilities and rationales of participation. Wielki kryzys gospodarczy oraz rozgoryczenie społeczeństwa niemieckiego postanowieniami traktatu wersalskiego pomogły Adolfowi Hitlerowi w objęciu władzy w państwie, co skutkowało poważnymi zmianami w polityce wewnętrznej i zewnętrznej Rzeszy. Sytuacji w Niemczech bacznie przyglądała się również polska opinia publiczna. W artykule zbadane zostało zainteresowanie prasy endeckiej wydarzeniami, które miały miejsce bezpośrednio po upadku Republiki Weimarskiej.

The starting point of this paper is the acknowledgement that the DNA of populism is democratic. At the same time, it may bring undemocratic or even counter-democratic consequences when it questions and contests liberalism and pluralism. This paper maps the key arguments on the relations between populism and authoritarianism, and discusses the risk of democratic backsliding as a result of authoritarian populism gaining power.
