La finalidad de esta investigación es analizar la construcción de la imagen de la mujer en el semanario de humor, Hermano Lobo. Con este objetivo, se analizan las viñetas publicadas en la revista desde mayo de 1972, momento en que aparece la publicación, hasta junio de 1976, fecha en que desaparece. A través de la visión del humor gráfico de Hermano Lobo, encontramos una figura de la mujer desplazada con escasa representación y relevancia. La mujer ejerce de figurante silenciado como acompañante y fiel apoyo del hombre como consecuencia de una sociedad de tradición androcéntrica. National elections were held in Mozambique for the fifth time in October 2014. As a state, Mozambique – like many ‘fourth-wave’ transition countries – fulfils the formal criteria of democracy. But to what extent are the mechanisms of accountability implemented? In Africa, two issues have been identified as key impediments for successful democratic transition: failure to improve the welfare of the poor and the ‘pre-modern’ character of civil society. The Promise and Deception of Participation in Welfare Services for Unemployed Young People

This study examined the role of welfare services in the participative citizenship of young people under 30 years of age outside the labour market. Thematic content analysis of the government’s white papers regarding participation policies, as well as participatory action research projects in two Finnish towns, were used to identify factors that enable or hinder participation for this group of service users. The paradigm of participation was critically examined with reference to the theoretical framework of Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorno’s “dialectic of Enlightenment”, which proposes the parallel existence of the promise and the deception of Enlightenment.
