Los ditirambos de Baquílides, hasta ahora estudiados sobre todo desde un punto de vista literario, son los ejemplos más extensos conservados de este género de la lírica coral, cuya evolución hacia el Nuevo Ditirambo aún plantea muchas dudas. The phenomenology of life has a fundamental, difficult relationship with the Hegelian conception of the spirit. The ‘immanent dialectics’ of life is in opposition to the necessary passage of the Hegelian spirit for the manifestation meant as alienation. The essay attempts to highlight, not least through the analysis of the concept of suffering, not only the debt that Henry contracts with some aspects of Hegelian dialectics, but also the problematic consequences of his peremptory rejection of Hegelian belonging of the negative to the being.
Gilliéron, Jules (1854–1926)

Jules Gillieron, born in Switzerland, became a professor of dialectology in Paris and thus the founder of the scientific dialectology in France. A dialect grammar and a phonetic atlas of the Roman Valais, both published in 1880, were expanded to the huge Linguistic atlas of France (ALF), published with E Edmont 1902–1910. Permanent explanatory notes and valuable monographs as interpretations of the maps supplemented the atlas. ‘Dialect’ was considered as a linguistic system with signs having an expression plane and a content plane—a structural approach.
Baltic and Finnic linguistic relations reflected in geolinguistic studies of the Baltic languages

The article provides insight into the reflection of Baltic and Finnic language contacts in geolinguistic studies of the Baltic languages. These contacts have a rather long history, and are particularly intense between the Latvian language and Finnic languages (especially Livonian and Estonian). In Lithuanian, Finnic borrowings have mostly appeared through Latvian, and fall into the dialectal Lithuanian vocabulary. The analysed material makes it possible to distinguish several areas of Finnic influences in Latvian sub-dialects. Latgalian surnames as a source of research in dialectology and language contact studies

Abstract This article is focused on the analysis of surnames used in the eastern part of Latvia, i.e., Latgale, the history of which to a certain extent differs from other regions of Latvia. This is due to almost 300 years (1629–1917) of isolation from the territory inhabited by other ethnic Latvians, during which this region was under Polish and later Russian rule. AbstractThis article studies the formal variation of the existential quantifiers u/un (‘one; a, an’), algú/algun (‘someone; some’), ningú/ningun (‘no one, anyone; any’) and the distributive universal quantifier cada u/cada un (‘everyone’) in Catalan. The research is based on an extensive diachronic corpus of texts written between the 15th and 20th centuries. The author classifies the syntactic structures of these quantifiers and analyses their meaning and formal vacillations: apocopated form (without ‑n) vs. non-apocopated form (with ‑n). EnglishThis article studies the formal variation of the masculine singular forms of the quantifiers u/un ‘one’, algu/algun ‘someone, some’, ningu/ningun ‘no-one, anyone, not one, any, none’ and cada u/cada un ‘everyone, each one’ in contemporary Catalan. The standard uses of these forms are contrasted with dialectal uses, obtained from a thorough search in oral and written corpora. In addition, they are compared with the uses in the other Romance languages and with their historical evolution in Catalan. This qualitative study utilises the relational dialectics of Baxter and Montgomery (1996) to examine the relationship communication of six heterosexual intercultural couples living in Finland. In this study, I attempt to answer the following questions: what cultural issues are relevant in the couples' relationship? What intercultural relational dialectics do the intercultural couples experience in their relationship? The interviews are based on a concept map, and were recorded, transcribed, and analysed qualitatively.
