Individuelt ansvar og sløvhet i profesjonsutøvelse
2012
2014
National audience; Professionalization in higher education in France is the subject of many debates about the goals and purposes of university degrees. This leads to a wide range of plans and actions, but the mechanisms behind have rarely been studied. After reviewing the questions raised by the main scientific approaches dealing with professionalization, this article analyses how it is implemented for professional bachelor degrees and what professors and programme directors think of, and do about it. Drawing on theory of activity - and in particular directed activity -, our conclusions emphasize the "dialogical universe" of activities, from course design to evaluation. In the same way, mos…
Power holders: one versus many. Leadership and elite theories
2016
‘Leadership’ and ‘elites’ are two crucial concepts that refer to individuals who hold power within a community. The aim of the article was to demonstrate to what extent the two concepts and theories are linked with each other in the literature. A quantitative and qualitative content analysis of the encyclopedic and dictionary entries demonstrates a divergence of approaches: on the one hand, a fundamental separation between the two theories, while on the other hand, a tendency to identify the one with the other. This shows the need for much more dialog between the frameworks of these two closely related phenomena.
Effects of authority: Voicescapes in children’s beliefs about the learning of English
2012
This paper examines learner beliefs from a dialogical point of view. Drawing on the writings of the Bakhtin circle, it sees beliefs as shared and recycled viewpoints that are multivoiced: they echo the voices of others as well as the voice of the speaker. A longitudinal interview study was conducted among a group of young Finnish learners of English. The analysis of the data focused on the voicework present in the learners’ answers: how they, on the one hand, echoed or even repeated the voices of authority, and, on the other hand, brought forward their own insights. The results indicate that the authoritative voices strongly influence how the individual viewpoints are formed and presented a…
Heading at Enabling Settings for Learning
2021
The paper draws on two cases of learning settings that were converted to meet up-to-date educational requirements within these learning contexts. The authors address the role of stakeholder perspectives. Focusing on the learning situation, they present an articulation tool to aid dialogue between key stakeholder perspectives in a (re)design process. Dialogue is a way to figure out relevant issues and to establish the common ground between participants. The goal of a redesign process is that user requirements are well understood, and the design is embedded into local practices, informed of constraints and aware of potential opportunities regarding educational technology.

Le dialogue juge - arbitre dans la création et l'application de normes juridiques
2017
The relations between state and arbitral justice, which were previously conflictual, have now clearly calmed down. Indeed, judges today are maintaining a constructive dialogue with arbitrators, which has led to both the creation and the application of transnational law. This communication thus reviews the main phases of this normative construction, whose completion has led to the strengthening of arbitration in these functions of international commercial justice.
