The aim of the article is to argue for the usefulness of public diplomacy and legitimacy of its application as a complementary tool for traditional diplomacy in the area of conflict resolution. Public diplomacy, due to its specificity, is part of changes in internationał relations and thus promotes approaches and offers tools that seem to be functional in various types and at different stages of internationał conflicts.
