Margarita Nelken.

2023

Margarita Nelken, along with Clara Campoamor and Victoria Kent, was the protagonist in some parliamentary debates during the first legislature of the Second Republic. As this is the first study on the "discursive identity" of member of parliament Margarita Nelken and on the parliamentary discourse of the Second Republic, special attention will be devoted to persuasive strategies and the image construction of the socialist MP. The corpus consists of discourses and replies to the interventions of other Members of parliament in the parliamentary sessions of 20 October 1932, 28 February 1933, and 25 January 1934. The analysis is based on Fuentes Rodríguez's pragmalinguistics model, on the theor…

The Advent of Open Source Democracy and Wikipolitics: Challenges, Threats and Opportunities for Democratic Discourse

2011

It has been claimed that the Web 2.0, the open source movement, and the emerging mode of peer production have inaugurated a new era of debate about openness, participation, and cooperation as bedrocks for rebuilding the civilizations of the modern world. By way of introducing the concept of wikipolitics, this paper examines whether, and if so how, politics and democracies can benefit from this emerging participatory spirit and modern ICTs, and to document possible dangers of such a shift in the democratic process. peerReviewed

1992

This thesis is 1) an discourse analysis of the institution' texts (Algeria, in the eighties) + analysis of the young people in secondary school (part I) ; 2) a semiotic analysis of spaces in Algeria (country, village, secondary school). The results : we showed many contraints in a collective speech, through 2 dominant themas : time, action ; and 2 recessive themas : subject (speaker), mirror. So, education and didactic perspective are useful.

Pārliecināšana kā stratēģija politiskās runās

2020

The loving heart of a mother or a greedy politician? : media representations of female presidents in Liberia and Malawi

2016

2.) miten sukupuoli on määritellyt kyseisten presidenttien esittämisen mediassa? …
