Emotional politics on Facebook. An exploratory study of Podemos’ discourse during the European election campaign 2014

The results of the European elections 2014 in Spain were characterized by the outstanding rise of a new party, Podemos, which obtained five seats in the European Parliament, despite being founded few months before the elections. The present study analyzes both the content and the presence of emotions in Podemos’ discourse on Facebook during the European electoral campaign. In particular, the affective content of both the party’s discourse and the comments of its followers will be analyzed through a pragmatic linguistic approach applied to a corpus of 163 posts and 215 followers’ comments. In certain contexts, and historical moments, the press has become an instrument of a dominant group that turns media discourse into a weapon, in order to carry out ideological manipulation of the recipient (Charaudeau 2003: 42 ). Autorka bierze pod uwagę artykuły zarówno o osobach homoseksualnych, jak i ogólnie o mniejszości LGBT+, gdyż dziennikarze ,,Gazety Polskiej” często nie używają rozróżnienia pomiędzy tymi mniejszościami. This article intends to put light on some of the rationalization mechanisms of the boring and of the scholar disobedience presents at the modern psicopedagogical rationality. We carry on with this task spacing us out from a double position: the one that pathologies what challenge someone or defer from the established identities, and the one that turns violence into a simple phenomena of technical management and of production of expert wisdom. This study is about development discourses and agents of the countries with low Human Development Index (HDI) in Africa. It is based on six UN Post-2015 national consultations. These six nations are Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Liberia and Zambia. The criteria of data selection involve the level of HDI, language, format of the report and geographical location. Dla Habermasa sfera publiczna jest centrum życia społeczno-politycznego. Jest ona niejako buforem między społeczeństwem a płaszczyzną władzy i polityki. Właściwy jej kształt zapewnia możliwość trafnej oceny problemów i przekazywania ich do centrów decyzyjnych władzy. Sfera publiczna jest sferą prywatnych ludzi gromadzących się w publiczność, jednak nie jako biernych widzów, ale aktywnie włączających się w definiowanie i rozwiązywanie wspólnie tematyzowanych problemów. Jej ideał Habermas upatruje w XVIII-wiecznej sferze mieszczańsko-obywatelskiej, po której jednak następuje jej rozpad. Media stają się elementem opiniotwórczym i manipulującym publicznością.
