Iron and pH regulating the photochemical mineralization of dissolved organic carbon

Solar radiation mineralizes dissolved organic matter (DOM) to dissolved inorganic carbon through photochemical reactions (DIC photoproduction) that are influenced by iron (Fe) and pH. This study addressed as to what extent Fe contributes to the optical properties of the chromophoric DOM (CDOM) and DIC photoproduction at different pH values. We created the associations of Fe and DOM (Fe-DOM) that cover the range of loadings of Fe on DOM and pH values found in freshwaters. The introduced Fe enhanced the light absorption by CDOM independent of pH. Simulated solar irradiation decreased the light absorption by CDOM (i.e., caused photobleaching). Periscope endograft technique to revascularize the left subclavian artery during thoracic endovascular aortic repair.

Purpose: To present early and midterm results of the periscope endograft (PG) technique to maintain left subclavian artery (LSA) blood flow in thoracic endovascular aortic repairs (TEVAR) involving zone 3. Methods: From April 2010 to January 2013, 14 consecutive high-risk patients (11 men; mean age 7068 years, range 56–87) underwent TEVAR with the PG technique for 10 thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAA), 2 traumatic aortic ruptures, and 2 aortic dissections without a suitable landing zone (.2 cm distal to the LSA). Tourist satisfaction has been studied so far using many different theoretical approaches and measurement models. In doing that, scholars have considered satisfaction and dissatisfaction either as two extremes on a single continuum or two distinct conceptual dimensions, i.e. tourist satisfaction (TS) and tourist dissatisfaction (TD) (Alegre and Garau, 2010). The study of moral judgements often centres on moral dilemmas in which options consistent with deontological perspectives (that is, emphasizing rules, individual rights and duties) are in conflict with options consistent with utilitarian judgements (that is, following the greater good based on consequences). Greene et al. (2009) showed that psychological and situational factors (for example, the intent of the agent or the presence of physical contact between the agent and the victim) can play an important role in moral dilemma judgements (for example, the trolley problem). Tutkimuksessani selvitän, miten ttA-johdinta käytetään nykypuhekielessä ja miten sen merkitys ja käyttö on muuttunut verrattuna aikaisempaan ja toisaalta yleiskieleen. ttA-johdin on nykypuhekielessä kuten yleiskielessäkin produktiivinen ja monikäyttöinen johdin. Kielioppi ja johtaminen muuttuvat yleensä sanastoa hitaammin, mutta ttA-johtimen nykyinen produktiivinen käyttö puhekielessä vaikuttaa eroavan esimerkiksi muutama vuosikymmen sitten tehdyistä johtimen kieliopillisista kuvauksista, joten ttA-johtimen nykytilan tarkastelu on perusteltua. Purpose: This study reports the outcomes from a Multicenter Registry on unibody stent-graft system for the treatment of spontaneous infrarenal acute aortic syndrome (MURUSSIAS registry). Materials and methods: The retrospective MURUSSIAS registry included spontaneous infrarenal acute aortic dissection (IAAS) managed with the unibody stent-graft system (AFX endovascular AAA system; Endologix Inc., Irvine, California) outside the current instruction for use.
