Effects of ions on water structure: a low-field1HT1NMR relaxometry approach

Aqueous salt solutions play an important role in nature because of their effects on environmental biogeochemical processes and on structural properties of biomolecules. Upon dissolution, salts split in ions that are solvated. Water in hydration shells is subjected to molecular motions that can be monitored by (1)H T1 NMR relaxometry. This technique allowed the evaluation of the nature of the interactions between water and ions via variable temperature experiments. Examination of relaxometry properties of aqueous solutions at variable salt concentrations allowed acknowledgement of the role played by ions in either structuring or destructuring water aggregates. Abstract The systematic investigation of the anodic behaviour of W in halogen ion-containing solutions reveals noticeable differences in the presence of different anions. Strong generalized dissolution is observed in fluoride solutions, the oxide growth being hindered at low anodizing current densities. Sparking phenomena occur in the presence of Br− and I− anions as in nitrate and sulphate solutions. Only in Cl− containing solutions is the growth of the anodic films limited by the occurrence of pitting phenomena at a critical thickness of the oxide. The inherently amphiphilic nature of native cyclodextrins (CDs) determines their peculiar molecular encapsulation features, enabling applications such as targeted drug nanodelivery, aroma protection, etc. On the contrary, it may also lead to poor solubility in water and other organic solvents and to potentially detrimental flocking in these media, thus posing limitations to more extensive usage. The essay examines the issue of the divorce allowance from the perspective of post-marital solidarity, critically analyzing the outcome of the crypto-indissolubility of marriage that emerges from the consolidated reading of the relative obligation as tendentially without a final term.
Preparation and physico-chemical study of inclusion complexes between idebenone and modified beta-cyclodextrins

The inclusion properties of modifiedβ-cyclodextrins (trimethyl-β-cyclodextrin, dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin and hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin) towards idebenone were compared with naturalβ-cyclodextrin. The inclusion complexes were prepared by different methods (coprecipitation, kneading, and freeze-drying) and characterized by differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffractometry, UV, CD and NMR spectroscopy. The results obtained by CD and NMR spectroscopy indicate a different orientation of idebenone in dimethyl-β-cyclodextrin with respect to other cyclodextrins. A procedure based on the high-field mechanism of the growth of anodic oxides was developed in order to evaluate the morphological features of porous layers. Since the thickness of the barrier film, separating the porous layer from the metal, does not change during the steady-state growth of an anodic porous layer, the rate of displacement of the metal-oxide interface to the metal direction must be equal to the rate of displacement of the pore base to the oxide direction.
