Applying phenomenography in guidance and counselling research

This paper examines phenomenography as a viable qualitative approach in guidance and counselling research. A phenomenographic study maps the qualitatively different ways in which people experience a specific phenomenon and helps researchers to describe the aspects that make one way of experiencing a certain phenomenon qualitatively distinct from another. This paper presents an overview of phenomenographic research, encompassing theoretical, methodological and practical considerations. The application of this approach in guidance and counselling studies is illustrated with examples. peerReviewed

Bakalaura darbs ir par augšējā devona Katlešu svītas dolokrētu paveidiem Kupravas māla atradnē un to vertikālo zonalitāti. Dokumentēti četri ģeoloģiskie griezumi, veikti detalizēti 33 pieslīpējumu un 23 plānslīpējumu pētījumi. Noskaidrots, ka šiem dolokrētiem ir raksturīga vertikālā zonalitāte - tajos var novērot divus, vietām nepilnīgus dolokrētu profilus, kuru attīstību, domājams, var skaidrot ar ūdens līmeņa svārstībām Katlešu laikposmā. Ir nodalīti mālaini kavernozi un poraini, brekčijveida, šūnveida, masīvi un citi dolokrētu horizonti. Las creencias epistemológicas en los estudiantes universitarios con los nuevos planes de estudios

Los cambios surgidos a partir del proceso de Bolonia, centrados en una nueva metodología que implica un alumno más activo, es esperable que influyan sobre las creencias epistemológicas. Para comprobar esto, comparamos dos grupos de una misma asignatura que cursaban licenciatura (441) y grado (336) y utilizamos el Cuestionario de creencias epistemológicas (EBS) de Wood y Kardash (2002: 249). Los resultados muestran que las creencias en ambos sistemas tienden a ser similares e ingenuas o simples, con puntuaciones ligeramente superiores en el grupo de licenciatura, contrario a lo esperado. INTRODUCCIÓN De los cinco troncos nerviosos que inervan el pie, el nervio tibial es el que presenta mayor dificultad para su bloqueo anestésico. Esta dificultad intrínseca del bloqueo selectivo del nervio tibial, está íntimamente relacionada con la localización del tronco nervioso en un plano más profundo, asociada a las características morfológicas del pie. Science can be seen as a sequential process where each new study augments evidence to the existing knowledge. To have the best prospects to make an impact in this process, a new study should be designed optimally taking into account the previous studies and other prior information. We propose a formal approach for the covariate prioritization, i.e., the decision about the covariates to be measured in a new study. A cubic neural unit is a kind of a higher-order neural unit which can be used for prediction tasks among others, in the medical field. The example of the tasks includes monitoring cardiac behavior in real-time either for preemptive treatment, or for supporting a doctor to reach a more accurate diagnosis.
