The Mi.P.A.F. (Italian Ministry of Agriculture) targeted project "National Lists of Recommended Rootstocks and Cultivars", coordinated by Prof. F. Loreti, University of Pisa, aims at evaluating the performance of fruit rootstocks introduced into the Italian nursery market. As part of this project, trials were established to compare some of the most interesting rootstocks for European and Japanese plum in 9 different locations in Italy. The rootstocks tested were: 'Citation-Zaipime', 'GF 31', 'Marianna GF 8/1', 'Ishtara-Ferciana', 'Jaspi-Fereley', 'Julior-Ferdor', 'Myrobalan 29C', 'Myrobalan B', 'MrS 2/5' and 'Myrocal'. The Northern Bolivian Altiplano is the human fascioliasis hyperendemic area where the highest prevalences and intensities in humans have been reported. Preventive chemotherapy was implemented in the last ten years. Surveillance showed high human infection and re-infection rates in between the annual triclabendazole monodose treatments. A complementary One Health control action was launched to decrease the infection risk. Domestic violence remains one of the major problems in the 21st century entailing severe costs and consequences for the victims. Despite the promulgated laws, this type of violence has increased among adolescents. Although several theories have been put forward to explain the causes of domestic violence, a psychobiological or social-educative explanation that proposes an agreed starting point for understanding and preventing this phenomenon is lacking. Experts in the field agree on the need for programs that focus on this relational problem; however, existing programs for adolescents have a broad spectrum where the prevention of domestic violence is just one more aspect of their objectives.…

Synthetically important trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) was trapped in water by using a metal–organic supramolecular anionic cage. Under ambient conditions, nearly 1:1 encapsulation of the hydrophobic, gaseous CF3I substrate with the cage was observed, and its binding constant was calculated by relative comparison with benzene encapsulation.
