Web-based Andragogy in Open University : Enhancing the Meaningful Learning Process of Research Skills

The research examines adult students studying on a web-based qualitative research methodology course in the Finnish open university context. The research questions concern adult student experiences of supportiveness of the learning environment, their studying orientations, and their relationship to andragogical assumptions of self-direction and collaboration. The research material consists of 47 learning diaries and was analysed by using abductive content analysis. Tutkimuksen tarkoitus on kartoittaa Ikääntyvien yliopiston atk-tutoreiden motivaatiota, koulutustarvetta ja vertaistuen merkitystä tutortoiminnalleen. Motivaatiota tarkastellaan onnistumisen kokemusten kautta, koulutustarvetta vastaajien tarpeista käsin ja vertaistukea ammatillisen ja henkisen tuen saamisen kokemuksena. Vertaistuen avulla tutorit voivat kehittää omaa osaamistaan neuvontatehtävissä ja toisaalta saada henkistä tukea samojen haasteiden ja onnistumisen kokemusten käsittelyssä. High-Reynolds-number turbulent cavity flow using the lattice Boltzmann method

We present a boundary condition scheme for the lattice Boltzmann method that has significantly improved stability for modeling turbulent flows while maintaining excellent parallel scalability. Simulations of a three-dimensional lid-driven cavity flow are found to be stable up to the unprecedented Reynolds number $\mathrm{Re}=5\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{4}$ for this setup. Excellent agreement with energy balance equations, computational and experimental results are shown. We quantify rises in the production of turbulence and turbulent drag, and determine peak locations of turbulent production.

Radošums ir improvizēts un ir mūsu sociālās un kultūras dzīves neatņemama sastāvdaļa, kas veido gan mūs pašus, gan esošās struktūras.

Tämä Terveystieteiden opettajan andragoginen käsikirja on syntynyt lukuvuoden 2019-20 Jyväskylän yliopiston terveystieteiden opettajankoulutuksen opiskelijoiden ”Opettajuuden ja ohjaajuuden tutkimukselliset tulkinnat” -opintokokonaisuuden töistä. Tänä vuonna merkityksillesi teemoiksi tulivat Terveys- ja kuntoutusalan opettajien teknologiaosaaminen (Teema 1), Opiskelijan reflektiotaidon kehittyminen (Teema 2) ja Pedagogisten/andragogisten opintokokonaisuuksien kehittäminen (Teema 3).
