Exposer l’âge du Bronze

2021

Exhibitions about the Bronze Age in France are quire a recent affair and only eighteen temporary exhibitions, most with their own catalogue, have been curated since 1986. This conference has given us the opportunity to overviev, the exhibitions that have given eirher a regional perspective of the Bronze Age or have focused on a particular theme. ln the last few years, several exhibitions have highlighred non-funerary metal deposits. The museography and public ourreach have varied for each exhibition, but ail have dealt with the difficult question of recontextualisation and how we understand and interpret archaeological data. This is particularly relevant, as the public still knows lirrle o…

Effect of electron-withdrawing substituents on the electrophilicity of carbonyl carbons

2005

Indexación: Scopus The substituent effects on the carbonyl carbon atom for a series of twelve substituted phenyl acetates have been rationalized using a global electrophilicity index. This index is linearly correlated with the experimental reaction rate coefficients. We found that, in contrast to the proposed interpretation based on experimental 13C NMR chemical shifts and ground state destabilization calculations, the electrophilicity of carbonyl compounds increases due to the effect promoted by electron-withdrawing groups in these systems. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0040402004018046?via%3Dihub

Carlo Scarpa. Una [curiosa] lama di luce, un gonfalone d’oro, le mani e un viso di donna : riflessioni sul processo progettuale per l’allestimento di…

2020

Seconda edizione aggiornata e ampliata febbraio 2020.

Drawings for engineering

2012

In the representation of knowledge can not miss all those geometric, static, functional, and specialized notions in infrastructures that characterize the shape of a Civil Engineer. We take this opportunity to show how complex the representation of a hydraulic overflow, how bold is the company wanting to bring the cross sections, the view from above, the longitudinal section. And, yet how essential is the knowledge of descriptive geometry to determine the intersections of complex surfaces, the application of engineering has great feedback. An engineer must know how to read and know how to make a drawing, must learn to identify the main characteristics, must be able to focus on the goals and …

Prediction of Ductile Fractures Occurrence in Deep Drawing of Square Boxes

1996

Abstract The authors propose a new approach for the prediction of tearing in the deep drawing process of square boxes. Such an approach is based on a damage mechanics formulation and in particular on the yield condition for damaging materials proposed by Tvergaard and Needleman and on a strain controlled nucleation model. The flow rule associated to the yield condition is introduced in a finite element explicit formulation founded on the solution of the dynamic equilibrium equation and on an explicit time integration scheme. By this way the developed model allows to calculate the void volume fraction value during the deep drawing process of square boxes and consequently to predict the insur…

Tabu search for min-max edge crossing in graphs

2020

Abstract Graph drawing is a key issue in the field of data analysis, given the ever-growing amount of information available today that require the use of automatic tools to represent it. Graph Drawing Problems (GDP) are hard combinatorial problems whose applications have been widely relevant in fields such as social network analysis and project management. While classically in GDPs the main aesthetic concern is related to the minimization of the total sum of crossing in the graph (min-sum), in this paper we focus on a particular variant of the problem, the Min-Max GDP, consisting in the minimization of the maximum crossing among all egdes. Recently proposed in scientific literature, the Min…

GENERALITY OF GRAPHIC VARIABLES ACROSS DRAWING TASKS

1968

Konttinen, R. & Olkinuora, E. Generality of graphic variables across drawing tasks. Scund. J. Psychol., 1968, 9, 161–168.—As a partial replication of the Takala & Rantanen (1964) study, the correlations between 6 graphic variables extracted from 6 drawing tasks differing in complexity were investigated. Four graphic trait factors were obtained I Size, II Pressure, III Discontinuous lines, and IV Angularity. Other graphic variables (nuancity and reinforcement) loaded factors II and III. The data lend support to the hypothesis that the same graphic traits should be interpreted in the same way irrespective of the complexity of the test. However, the complexity of the drawing task may make a di…

Non-Model Based Method for an Automation of 3D Acquisition and Post-Processing

2008

Most of the automation for 3D acquisition concerns objects with simple shape, like mechanical parts. For cultural heritage artefacts, the process is more complex, and it doesn't exist general solution nowadays. This paper presents a method to generate a complete 3D model of cultural heritage artefacts. In a first step, MVC is used to solve the view planning problem. Then, holes remaining in 3D model are detected, and their features are calculated to finish acquisition. Different post-processing are applied on each view to increase quality of the 3D model. This procedure has been tested with simulated scanner, before being implemented on a motion system with five degrees of freedom.

Acceptability Study of A3-K3 Robotic Architecture for a Neurorobotics Painting

2019

In this paper, authors present a novel architecture for controlling an industrial robot via Brain Computer Interface. The robot used is a Series 2000 KR 210-2. The robotic arm was fitted with DI drawing devices that clamp, hold and manipulate various artistic media like brushes, pencils, pens. User selected a high-level task, for instance a shape or movement, using a human machine interface and the translation in robot movement was entirely demanded to the Robot Control Architecture defining a plan to accomplish user's task. The architecture was composed by a Human Machine Interface based on P300 Brain Computer Interface and a robotic architecture composed by a deliberative layer and a reac…
