Modular Approach to 9-Monosubstituted Fluorene Derivatives Using Mo(V) Reagents.

Oxidative coupling using molybdenum(V) reagents provides fast access to highly functionalized 9-monosubstituted fluorenes. This synthetic approach is highly modular, is high yielding, and tolerates a variety of labile moieties, e.g. amides or iodo groups. The established protocol leads to promising precursors for pharmacologically important analogues of melatonin.

The synthesis and structural characterization of dicationic selenium and tellurium analogues of the carbodiphosphorane and triphosphenium families of compounds are reported. These complexes, [Ch(dppe)][OTf](2) [Ch = Se, Te; dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane; OTf = trifluoromethanesulfonate], are formed using [Ch](2+) reagents via a ligand-exchange protocol and represent extremely rare examples of homoleptic pnictogen → chalcogen coordination complexes. Summary The effects of the modifier functionality and the chain length ofn-alkylchlorosilanes on the surface structure of packings and on their retention behaviour in reversed-phase chromatography were investigated. Abstract Gentiana sect. Ciminalis consists of seven mostly ecologically or geographically vicariant and closely related species which are distributed throughout the South and Central European high mountains. The analysis of a RAPD data set and trn L-intron and ITS sequences resulted in slightly different phylogenetic hypotheses. Abstract The species of the genus Apocricetus are considered to form the phyletic lineage A. aff. plinii (MN11)– A. plinii – A. alberti – A. barrierei – A. angustidens (MN16). Along this lineage, gradual morphological and biometrical changes occur, but not all the species are represented by rich populations. The assemblage of Apocricetus alberti from Venta del Moro is by far the most abundant collection of this species. This population shows a great morphological variability in some characters like the morphology of the anteroconid and the anterolophulids in m1 and the shape of the anterolophule in M1, with morphotypes that resemble both older and younger populations of Apocricetus . This study evaluated five early cases in which esport developer Riot Games made rulings regarding activities and infractions by members of various institutions related to its product, League of Legends.
