Questo lavoro inizia con la progettazione di massima del pistone di un ammortizzatore a fluido magnetoreologico, effettuata con l’ausilio di Solid Works e del software di simulazione magnetica FEMM. Le dimensioni preliminari sono state assegnate facendo uso delle relazioni teoriche, mentre il software FEMM ha confermato il risultato. Sono state poi ricavate le equazioni della dinamica di un modello half car, sia in forma di sistema di equazioni differenziali che in forma di spazio di stato. This work addresses the subjects of reducing fossil energy consumption and the interventions to improve energy efficiency in the European agricultural-food sys-tem. Following an overview on both such subjects, the results of European projects TESLA and SCOoPE are also analysed with attention to best practices and technologies available to improve energy efficiency in order to reduce the fossil energy use in agri-food systems of Mediterranean countries. El objetivo de este estudio es conocer cuáles son los patrones que intervienen en la elección de centro escolar y detectar los factores sociodemográficos, económicos y de localización que subyacen tras ellos. Para ello, se ha realizado una encuesta a la demanda potencial de los centros públicos que imparten el segundo ciclo de educación infantil en la ciudad de Valencia. Los resultados indican que el principal criterio de elección de centro escolar es la proximidad entre el hogar y el colegio, y que el modo de desplazamiento más utilizado es el peatonal. Multidimensional forced-choice questionnaires are widely regarded in the personnel selection literature for their ability to control response biases. Recently developed IRT models usually rely on the assumption that item parameters remain invariant when they are paired in forced-choice blocks, without giving it much consideration. This study aims to test this assumption empirically on the MUPP-2PL model, comparing the parameter estimates of the forced-choice format to their graded-scale equivalent on a Big Five personality instrument. The temple of the Magna Mater in the Old Forum of Lepcis Magna, as testied by IRT 300, was built during the reign of Vespasian in 73 AD. Discovered by Renato Bartoccini in 1925, it remained unpublished. A recent research carried out in 2007 led to a new detailed survey of the monument while the study is still ongoing. In this article, in addition to the analysis of the remains of the sanctuary, a reconstructive hypothesis of the temple podium and of the entrance steps is proposed, on the basis of the in situ remains and the architectural elements scattered in the area. Abstract This work describes an experimental mechanical characterisation campaign on composites made out of a quasi-unidirectional basalt fabric. In order to evaluate the ability of commercial basalt fabrics and their composites to meet the potentials of basalt fibers, the work has used raw materials from commercial catalogs with no further modification. Two common manufacturing techniques for medium performance composites have been adopted: vacuum assisted resin infusion, and hand-impregnated vacuum bagging.
