National audience; En dépit d'une augmentation sensible au cours des dernières années, la demande d'éducation post-obligatoire des familles paysannes reste aujourd'hui encore relativement modeste par rapport à celles des autres catégories sociales. L'auteur explique ici la demande d'éducation secondaire des familles paysannes à partir d'un modèle de comportement qui prend en compte certaines des caractéristiques de production des exploitations agricoles. Le test empirique du modèle est effectué sur les données départementales de scolarisation des enfants de cultivateurs âgés de 16 à 18 ans.

International audience; Cet article vise à déterminer les facteurs susceptibles d'expliquer le niveau de maîtrise du français écrit par les primo-arrivants en âge de travailler, sachant que peu de recherches ont été réalisées en France à ce sujet. This perspective paper synthesises the special issue 'Human-nature connectedness as a leverage point for sustainability transformation'. Based on the articles in this special issue, we aim to foster the operationalisation of the leverage points perspective to shape human-nature relations to enable sustainability transformations. This article aims at offering a better understanding of the discussion in relation to the individualisation of the employment relationship based on the competency model. Our starting point is the idea that firms use a diversity of procedures to obtain the competencies they need. Based on a survey of five Portuguese banks, this article shows that firms use policies of incitation in order to make workers to mobilise the right competencies : in this respect, earning policies appear to be the mean of resolving problems of coordination. The cost of equity and exchange listing evidence from the French stock market

We reconsider the behaviour of prices around the period close to the listing on the Marché à Règlement Mensuel (RM). First, an event study based on a sample of 60 firms has been set up to test the existence of the exchange listing effect on the French market. Then we discuss and test the financial reasons which can justify abnormal returns around the announcement day and the day of the listing. We explore four reasons to explain the impact of the stock exchange listings: one is the informative content of the operation which induces an upward revision of the future earnings. The data are derived from an original survey conducted in five large banking companies in Portugal. Six hundred clerks were interviewed regarding their individual characteristics (age, gender, education, experience in the labour market, experience in the company).
