Psoriasis impacts the quality of life (QoL) by disrupting overall health and social life. Thus, the use of a QoL evaluation item is crucial in assessing a therapeutic regimen. Also, faster improvements in QoL lead to better patient compliance, but very few studies compare psoriasis traditional and biologic therapies timing. Objectives: To assess the rates of co-occurring putative ‘behavioural addictions’ in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Methods: Twenty-three international centres specialising in the treatment of OCD were invited to participate in a survey of the rates of behavioural addictions and other relevant comorbidity within their samples. Results: Sixteen of 23 (69.6%) invited centres from 13 countries had sufficient data to participate in the survey. The use of validated diagnostic tools was discrepant, with most centres relying on a ‘clinical diagnosis’ to diagnose behavioural addictions. Abstract Introduction We compared the binge eating pathway linking body image dissatisfaction (BID) and psychological distress of obese adults entering and not entering psychological treatment for their weight problems. Method 90 obese participants seeking an integrated treatment (OB-IT) and 87 obese participants seeking only medical treatment (OB-MT) for their weight problems completed questionnaires on BID, binge eating and psychological well-being. Ménétrier's disease in a patient with refractory ulcerative colitis: a clinical challenge and review of the literature

Ménétrier’s disease (MD) is a rare disease of the stomach, characterised by hypertrophic gastric folds leading to protein loss. The association with ulcerative colitis (UC) is rare but has been reported in the literature. We report a case of a 29-year-old male affected by UC with an additional diagnosis of MD 3 years after UC diagnosis. UC was refractory to several treatment lines (thiopurines, infliximab, vedolizumab and ustekinumab), and the patient underwent colectomy. Octreotide was administered for MD normalising blood biochemistry, but it was not effective in inducing endoscopic remission of the stomach. Treatment options in patients with MD and UC are discussed.
Sexual Compulsivity and Sexual Sensation Seeking: A Preliminary Approach Among Male Sex Workers Compared to Gay Men in Spain

This study aims to explore sexual compulsivity (SC) and sexual sensation seeking (SSS) in male sex workers (MSWs) compared to a group of non-MSW gay men. A total of 60 MSWs and 63 gay men answered the SC Scale and the SSS Scale. The total scales' mean score was slightly higher in the MSW population. Still, statistical differences were observed in only two SSS items. In spite of the absence of statistical significance, MSWs presented more sexual behavior interferences on their lives and higher failure to control sexual impulses. Future interventions among MSWs should focus on sexual self-control and impulsivity.

The objective of the study was to determine the information resources these patients used, together with their perceived information gaps and expected preferences. Patients and methods A prospective, observational, cross-sectional study conducted on IBD patients attending 13 Spanish hospitals during 2008. Patients completed a semi-structured 52-question survey. The role of dispositional and social factors in Argentinian and Spanish women's sexuality

This study examines the role of sociocultural and dispositional factors in the sexual expressions of young Argentinian and Spanish women. Three hundred young women self-evaluated their sexual practices, sexual orientation, and relationships. Results reveal differences in women's sexuality based on societal and dispositional variables. The latter seem to play a more important role in those sexual behaviors that are normative in Hispanic traditions, whereas gender dissimilarity is more relevant when these behaviors are socially censured. Therefore, women's sexuality in Hispanic traditions, such as in Argentina and Spain, seems to be more complex than past studies reported.

Adolescent exposure to cannabinoids enhances the behavioural effects of cocaine, and high novelty-seeking trait predicts greater sensitivity to the conditioned place preference (CPP) induced by this drug. Our aim was to evaluate the influence of novelty-seeking on the effects of adolescent cannabinoid exposure. Adolescent male mice were classified as high or low novelty seekers (HNS and LNS) in the hole-board test.
