Säveltäminen vuorovaikutuksena : musiikkiopiston tilausteoksen sävellysprosessi diskursiivisena kohtauspaikkana

Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, millaiseksi Lapin musiikkiopiston tilaussävellys, oppilasorkesteriteos Revontuulet, ja sen sävellysprosessi muotoutuivat säveltäjän ja musiikkiopiston välisessä vuorovaikutuksessa. Tilaussävellys oli osa valtakunnallista Säveltäjä musiikkioppilaitoksessa -hanketta, johon Lapin musiikkiopisto osallistui valitsemalla kotisäveltäjäkseen yhden lukuvuoden ajaksi säveltäjä Sanna Ahvenjärven. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin säveltämistä vuorovaikutuksen näkökulmasta. Kandidaatintutkielma kuvaa sävellysprosessia luovan ongelmanratkaisun näkökulmasta ja peilaa sitä tekijän omiin havaintoihin omasta sävellysprosessistaan. Tutkielma pohjaa pitkälle Yrjö Heinosen (1995) sävellyksen prosessimalliin, ja siinä pohditaan säveltämistä tekijän näkökulmasta myös yleisellä tasolla. Kiinnostuin aiheesta itse, koska olen ammattisäveltäjä, ja tahtoisin tällä tavalla valottaa säveltämisen käytäntöjä ja pohtia sen merkitystä työn tekemisenä. Tämä tutkimus toimii pohjana Pro Gradu –tutkielmalleni, jossa aion tehdä tapaustutkimuksen omasta sävellysprosessistani.

Over the past several years, research in recommender systems has emphasized the importance of serendipity, but there is still no consensus on the definition of this concept and whether serendipitous items should be recommended is still not a well-addressed question. Most recommender systems suggest items to a user that are popular among all users and similar to items the user usually consumes. As a result, a user receives recommendations that she/he is already familiar with or would find anyway, leading to low satisfaction. To overcome this problem, a recommender system should suggest novel, relevant and unexpected, i.e. serendipitous items. Tässä artikkelissa käsittelen kahdeksan Berliinissä asuneen suomalaislähtöisen kuvataiteilijan käsityksiä kielten merkityksestä identiteettiinsä ja taiteeseensa. Vastaan kolmeen tutkimuskysymykseen; ensinnäkin siihen, miten eri kielten käyttö on vaikuttanut taiteilijoiden identiteettiin, toisekseen siihen, miten he käyttävät kieliä visuaalisessa taiteessaan ja lopuksi siihen, mikä rooli kielellä, monikielisyydellä/limittäiskieleilyllä on heidän taiteessaan.
