The interaction between "man-shoe and surface" is presented as a model to discuss the complexity of human locomotion. Only if the physiological system "man" interacts positively with the physical requirements of shoe and surface quality running will become effective and economical. Especially during the early ground contact phase the hardness of the shoe construction determines the height of the vertical impact load. These adaptations have consequences in the emg amplitudes during the stretch activation phase of the contact. Biomechanical factors affecting energy cost during running utilising different slopes

This study aimed to examine the characteristics of electromyography (EMG) and kinematics of the supporting leg affecting energy cost while running at incline, level, and decline slopes. Twelve male Japanese middle- and long-distance runners volunteered for this study. The subjects were asked to run at 13.5 km·h−1 on a treadmill under three slope conditions. Sagittal plane kinematics and the EMG of the lower limb muscles, respiratory gases were recorded. The purpose of the present study was to compare kinetics, kinematics and muscle activity between sprint start, sled-pulling and selected squat type exercises and also to examine how different exercises and variables correlate with the performance time of the block start (10 m). Apkopot kādas ainavas vērtības ir atspoguļotas Zemgales līdzenuma teritoriju pašvaldību novadu dokumentos. Maģistra darbā veikta Zemgales ledus ezerā un Baltijas ledus ezerā ieplūstošo upju ieleju morfoloģiska analīze ar mērķi izmantot ieleju morfoloģiskos elementus krasta sprostezeru krasta līniju identificēšanā. Pētījuma teritorijas, kas aptver Zemgales līdzenuma DR daļu starp Lielupes un Bērzes upju ielejām, ģeoloģiskie un paleoklimatiskie apstākļi nosaka, ka sprostezeru krasta līniju indikatoru veidošanās un saglabāšanās iespējas ir zemas.
