Everyday Listening to Music and Emotion Among College Students

This study attempted to reveal the relationship between everyday listening to music and emotion among col-lege students. Participants were 13 female and 2 male college students who were given booklets to record the following over an 8-day period: dates and times of their everyday experiences of listening to music, duration of listening, locations and contexts of listening, active or passive listening, emotions before and after listening, and tiles and artists to which they listened. Results indicated that the participants listened to music for 5 to 30 minutes while driving or riding in a car. Tässä tutkimuksessa on tarkasteltu varhaisnuorten tunteiden tunnistamista suoriutumistilanteissa. Subjektiivisesti ja objektiivisesti mitattujen tunteiden vastaavuuksia tarkasteltiin ottaen huomioon tehtävien vaikeustaso ja esittämisjärjestys, oppilaan kognitiivinen kykytaso, ylivilkkauden pulmat sekä tunteiden huippuhetket ja aallonpohjat. The present study examines antecedents of university students' academic emotions (Pekrun, Goetz, Titz, & Perry, 2002) in the context of self-determination theory (SDT; Deci & Ryan, 1985; 2000), using realtime assessment and intra-individual analyses. We investigated whether daily autonomous and controlled-motivated educational goals predicted students' academic emotions. The Relation Between Emotional Valence and Performance Motion of the Keyboard Instrument

This study examined relations of the emotion and part of the upper body during the keyboard instrument performance. The study showed the trace from the lateral direction to watch movement. As a result, there was a difference in the emotional expression of the performance in the head and upper arm. In this way, we understood that the part except the hand was important to emotional expression in the keyboard instrument performance. The future investigation is going to analyze the front.

Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma on osa pitkittäistutkimusta, joka on seurannut 11 vastavalmistuneen vieraan kielen opettajan kehitystä noin kymmenen vuoden ajan. Seitsemän opettajaa jatkoi tutkimuksen parissa tänä vuonna ja uusimmat haastattelut toteutettiin keväällä 2014. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää millaisia oppilaisiin liittyviä tunteita kieltenopettajilla on ja ovatko kyseiset tunteet mahdollisesti muuttuneet vuosien saatossa. We examined the associations of cognitive skills, math-related emotions and beliefs, and gender with responses to an arithmetic fluency intervention. Elementary school children with dysfluent arithmetic skills (N=69) participated in an arithmetic fluency intervention (with and without self-efficacy support) implemented in small groups in schools for 12 weeks. Hierarchical regression models including cognitive skills or math-related emotions and beliefs predicted 21% to 50% of the variation in the intervention response, i.e., improvement in arithmetic fluency. Celem artykułu jest językoznawcza refleksja nad słowem kuriozum. Autorka artykułu nie tylko pokazuje w nim historię słowa w polszczyźnie, ale przede wszystkim rekonstruuje (na podstawie funkcjonujących w języku synonimów wyrazu kuriozum oraz licznych przykładów jego użycia) strukturę semantyczną słowa. Zwraca uwagę na jego niezwykłe bogactwo znaczeniowe, wielość semantycznych odcieni, a także różnorodność wyrażanych nim emocji. Równocześnie pokazuje, że zawarte we współczesnych słownikach języka polskiego definicje słownikowe kuriozum (będące punktem wyjścia poczynionych analiz) nie oddają w pełni semantycznej złożoności słowa.

In sport organizations, a stance aimed at creating a positive emotional and social climate may be necessary. This study examines athletes' individual psychosocial factors that are linked to sports practice and sports performance. These factors include individual motivation, emotions, and beliefs. The main objective is to create a hierarchy of emotional and motivational factors that sport organizations can use to increase athletes' commitment.
