Tutkimukseni kohteena ovat vuoden 2014 valtion tutkimuslaitosten ja tutkimusrahoituksen kokonaisuudistuksessa uudistetut tutkimuksen tiedepoliittiset ohjauskeinot. Uudistuksessa mm. yhdisteltiin tutkimuslaitoksia suuremmiksi yksiköiksi, vahvistettiin niiden ohjauskeinoja ja poikkihallinnollisia yhteistyörakenteita sekä perustettiin niiltä siirretyllä rahoituksella uudet strategisen tutkimuksen ja valtioneuvoston tutkimus- ja selvitystoiminnan kilpaillut rahoitusvälineet, joita valtioneuvosto ohjaa päättämällä tutkimuksen teema- ja painopistealueista. Characterization of rhenium oxide films and their application to liquid crystal cells

Rhenium trioxide exhibits high electronic conductivity, while its open cubic crystal structure allows an appreciable hydrogen intercalation, generating disordered solid phases, with protonic conductivity. Rhenium oxide thin films have been obtained by thermal evaporation of ReO3 powders on different substrates, maintained at different temperatures, and also by reactive magnetron sputtering of a Re metallic target. A comparative investigation has been carried out on these films, by using micro-Raman spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction. Projektu vadība ir iefiltrējusies daudzās biznesa jomās, tomēr projektu pārskats kā žanrs nav bijis pilnvērtīgi izpētīts. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt projektu pārskatu žanru veicot retorisko posmu un soļu analīzi un apskatot laika aspektu formas katrā retoriskajā posmā. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, tika veikta žanra analīze korpusam, kurš sastāvēja no 50 nejauši izvēlētiem projektu pārskatiem no Kopienas Pētniecības un attīstības informācijas dienesta (Community Research and Development Informative Service) (CORDIS) datubāzes. Development of niobium-based superconducting junctions

This thesis presents a review of publications which mainly focuses on the fabrication and performance of Nb-based normal metal-insulator-superconductor (NIS) tunnel junctions and superconductor-normal metal-superconductor (SNS) Josephson junctions at low temperatures. The Cu/AlOx-Al/Nb based NIS double tunnel junctions were successfully fabricated using conventional electron beam lithography combined with multi-angle thermal evaporation of metals in ultra high vacuum. The subgap characteristics of these junctions showed expected temperature dependence from 0.2 K to 5 K with a good thermometry sensitivity 0.2-0.3 mV/K. Sustainability initiatives and the stakeholders involved : a case study of the GOLDEN Project and the electric utility industry

This piece of research focuses primarily on which are the main types of sustainability initiatives within the electric utility sector with direct attention on five companies being Eletrobras, Rheinisch-Westfälisches Elektrizitätswerk AG, Fortum, Copel and Edison. Additionally this research looks at the primary stakeholders who are both the drivers and recipients of these specific set of sustainability initiatives. In order to obtain results to these questions, I examined the sustainability reports of the five aforementioned companies for years 2008 and 2014 from the GOLDEN Project database.
