With the explosion of urban waterfront revitalization projects in the developed world, it is timely to reflect on the relations between cities and their rivers: how the rivers influenced development of the cities, how cities have treated their riverfronts since 19th century, and how the spatial relations of city and river constrain and enable improved connectivity between urban populations and their rivers. Water and Energy Saving in Urban Water Systems: The ALADIN Project

The ALADIN project was aimed at contributing to environmental and energy sustainability of the urban water system by means of a decision support tool able to allow an evaluation of the energy impact related to each different macro-sectors of urban water cycle highlighting the main energy flows and to assess the system energy balance and identify the possible energy-efficient solutions. Moreover the tool suggests the most efficient actions in reducing water losses. In the present paper the main features of the developed tool are presented. (C) 2016 The Authors. Players with high physical fitness are at greater risk of injury in youth football.

The aim of this study was to investigate physical fitness, football-specific skills and their association with injury risk in youth football. Altogether 447 male and female players aged 9 to 14 years (median 12 years) participated in performance tests and prospective follow-up. The physical fitness tests included five-jump test for distance, 30-m sprint, football-specific figure of eight agility, countermovement jump, and Yo-Yo intermittent endurance test level 1. Maģistra darba tēma “Lietotāju uztveres uzlabojumi saskarnēs atkarībā no to elementu izkārtojuma”. 2022. gadā, pēc statistikas datiem, saskarnes var palielināt tīmekļvietnes reklāmieguvuma līmeni par 200%, bet saskarnes dizains līdz pat 400% [71], tādējādi lietotāju saskarnes uztvere ir svarīga pētījuma tēma. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt un izanalizēt, kurās saskarnēs elementu izkārtojums uzlabo lietotāju uztveri.
