Search for light scalar top quark pair production in final states with two leptons with the ATLAS detector in sqrt(s) = 7 TeV proton-proton collisions

A search is presented for the pair production of light scalar top quarks in s√=7 TeV proton–proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. This analysis uses the full data sample collected during 2011 running that corresponds to a total integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb[superscript −1]. Light scalar top quarks are searched for in events with two opposite-sign leptons (e, μ), large missing transverse momentum and at least one jet in the final state. No excess over Standard Model expectations is found, and the results are interpreted under the assumption that the light scalar top decays to a b-quark in addition to an on-shell chargino whose decay occurs through…

Per molto tempo, la teoria polifunzionale della pena, e l'agnosticismo conseguente, ha permeato il dibattito sul senso della pena, emarginando così il vincolo rieducativo alla sola fase finale del momento punitivo. Nessuno può essere ucciso per legge, così come nessuno, ugualmente, è "perso" per sempre, né, tantomeno, è irrecuperabile. Si insiste: se l'errore è sempre insito nell'agire umano, quindi anche nella decisione del giudice, tanto da essere ormai acclarata la crisi della certezza del giudicato penale, che, sappiamo del resto sempre più fluido, come accettare una condanna a vita irrimediabile, senza alcuna via di uscita dalle mura del carcere?

People with intellectual disabilities have more sedentary lifestyles than the general population. Regular physical activity is of both medical and social importance, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and promoting functioning in everyday life. Exergames have been envisioned for promoting physical activity; however, most of them are not user-friendly for individuals with intellectual disabilities. In this paper, we report the design, development, and user acceptance of a mobile health solution connected to sensors to motivate physical activity.
