Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää automaattisen tiedonkäsittelyn eroja masentuneiden ja mielialansa hyväksi kokevien välillä mittaamalla aivojen herätevasteita. Lisäksi tutkittiin lyhyen psykologisen intervention vaikutusta näihin vasteisiin. Tutkimukseen osallistui 40 masentunutta ja 23 kontrollikoehenkilöä. Masentuneiden koehenkilöiden aivosähkökäyrä mitattiin ennen interventiota, sen jälkeen sekä seitsemän kuukauden seurannassa. Henkilöt, jotka eivät kokeneet masennusta, mitattiin vain kerran. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli tutkia aivojen esitietoista muutoksenhavaitsemiskykyä mittaamalla tapahtumasidonnaisia herätevastepotentiaaleja (ERP) elektroenkefalografiassa (EEG), käyttäen ärsyk-keenä emotionaalisia kasvonilmeitä. Tutkimuksessa verrattiin kahden ryhmän: masentuneiden sekä ei-masentuneiden - ERP vasteista. Lisäksi tutkimme psykologisen lyhyt intervention vaikutuksia koehen-kilöiden ERP vasteisiin. Sport practices belong to the prison’s landscape. Nevertheless, there is a lack of knowledge about the role they play in prisons ordinary life. Therefore, we developed an ethnographic study, mainly located in the sports hall of a Spanish prison, to understand exercise and sport meanings among inmates, workers, educators and monitors. Data indicate that social rehabilitation through sport is an illusion, although it is the official goal of imprisonment. Learning Oriented e-Assessment (e-LOA) is an ICT mediated learning process. It promotes the development of competences that are relevant to both students’ academic present and professional future. In this quasi-experimental research a pretest-posttest design with experimental and control groups is implemented. We believe that the actions of e-LOA favors further development of competences. The results show that in the experimental groups there is an improvement on the level of competence. Significant differences have been found between the pretest and posttest. Introduction and objectives: To evaluate the interaction between comorbidity burden and the benefits of in-hospital revascularization in elderly patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTEACS). Methods: This retrospective study included 7211 patients aged ≥ 70 years from 11 Spanish NSTEACS registries. Six comorbidities were evaluated: diabetes, peripheral artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, chronic pulmonary disease, renal failure, and anemia. A propensity score was estimated to enable an adjusted comparison of in-hospital revascularization and conservative management. The end point was 1-year all-cause mortality.
