Formy organizacyjne zajęć dydaktycznych stosowane przez nauczycieli przedszkoli (na przykłądzie Opolszczyzny)
2018
Współczesne tendencje w pedagogice przedszkolnej podkreślają potrzebę stosowania zróżnicowanych form konstruowania procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego - pracy zbiorowej, indywidualnej i grupowej. Podjęte w artykule rozważania teoretyczne uzupełniono wynikami badań własnych, przeprowadzonych drogą sondażu diagnostycznego, wśród nauczycielek przedszkoli w województwie opolskim. Analiza rezultatów badań dowiodła, że nauczycielki najczęściej w organizowaniu zajęć dydaktycznych stosują pracę zbiorową, choć najwyższą efektywność i zaangażowanie dzieci dostrzegają w formie indywidualnej.
Does daily distress make parents prone to using psychologically controlling parenting?
2016
The aim of the present study was to investigate whether parental daily distress in terms of negative emotions is associated with the daily variation in parental use of psychological control with their children. Whether parental positive emotions play a role in the use of psychological control was also investigated. The participants were 149 Finnish families with a child between the ages of 6 and 7 years. Parents’ negative and positive emotions, children’s misconduct, and parental use of psychological control when interacting with their children were measured daily using diary questionnaires filled in by the mothers and fathers over 7 successive days in the fall term of the children’s first…
Restoration of High Frequency Auditory Perception After Robot-Assisted or Manual Cochlear Implantation in Profoundly Deaf Adults Improves Speech Reco…
2021
Background and Purpose: Robot-assisted cochlear implantation has recently been implemented in clinical practice; however, its effect on hearing outcomes is unknown. The aim of this preliminary study was to evaluate hearing performance 1 year post-implantation whether the electrode array was inserted manually or assisted by a robot. Methods: Forty-two profoundly deaf adults were implanted either manually (n = 21) or assisted by a robot (RobOtol®, Collin, Bagneux, France) with three different electrode array types. Participants were paired by age, and electrode array type. The scalar position of the electrode array in the cochlea was assessed by 3D reconstruction from the pre- and post-implant…
Correlates of Orthographic Learning in Swedish Children With Cochlear Implants
2019
This study set out to explore the cognitive and linguistic correlates of orthographic learning in a group of 32 deaf and hard of hearing children with cochlear implants, to better understand the factors that affect the development of fluent reading in these children. To date, the research about the mechanisms of reading fluency and orthographic learning in this population is scarce. The children were between 6:0 and 10:11 years of age and used oral language as their primary mode of communication. They were assessed on orthographic learning, reading fluency and a range of cognitive and linguistic skills including working memory measures, word retrieval and paired associate learning. The resu…

Dan v. Moldavia 2: la rinnovazione in appello tra itinerari sperimentati e cedimenti silenziosi
2020
After several years, the European Court of Human Rights comes back on the case of Dan v. Moldova: a judgment that has had a significant impact on our appeal process. The key question is whether a new shock wave is to be expected by this further ruling.
The use of pumice lightweight concrete for masonry applications
2011
In the last two decades, the use of pumice as lightweight aggregate for concrete in structural applications has been the object of different studies. The aim was to find out if pumice can be an alternative to ordinary lightweight aggregate. The present paper is framed in this context. Here, a study is presented showing the use of pumice for making lightweight concrete units for masonry members. Through the paper, the formulation of a mix design for lightweight concrete is proposed. Then the obtained mechanical characteristics of the masonry units are discussed and compared to the code requirements. Reinforced bearing masonry walls, made with the concrete masonry units in question, were made…
Time-gated Raman and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy in mapping of eudialyte and catapleiite
2020
Raman analysis of rock samples containing rare earth elements (REEs) is challenging due to the strong fluorescence, which may mask the weaker Raman signal. In this research, time‐gated (TG) Raman has been applied to the construction of the mineral distribution map from REE‐bearing rock. With TG Raman, material is excited with a short subnanosecond laser pulse, and the Raman signal is collected within a picosecond‐scale time window prior to the formation of a strong fluorescent signal by means of single‐photon avalanche diode array. This allows signal readout with a significantly reduced fluorescence background. TG Raman maps are used to reveal the location of valuable minerals and are compa…
Recalled parental rearing style, self-esteem, and psychopathological symptoms in the general population
2020
The enduring impact of perceived parental behavior on self-esteem as well as anxiety and depression in adults is still unknown. In a large random route sample (age range 18?92), 4,747 subjects were asked to complete questionnaires about recalled parental rearing, selfesteem, anxiety, and depression. Structural equation modeling was used, and the data from the mother and the father version of the FEE (a questionnaire for recalled parental rearing) were analyzed separately. A model proposing that self-esteem mediates the relationship between parental behavior and psychopathological symptoms fits the data rather well (CFI = .95, RMSEA = .05, TLI = .94). Hence, the recalled authoritative parent…
Children's help seeking: the role of parenting
2008
Abstract Ninety-nine families with a school-age child participated in this study, aimed at analysing the relationship between parenting and children's help seeking. The parenting data included self-reports on parents' child-rearing principles and behavioural observations during parent–child interactions. To test help seeking, the children were placed in a problem-solving situation and had the opportunity to seek help from the experimenter. For girls, higher levels of parental nurturance were linked to longer thinking times preceding help seeking and to lessened capacity to reuse previously received help. For boys, higher levels of fathers' emotional warmth were related to higher rates of ir…
