Towards an Economy of Encounters? : A critical study of affectual assemblages in coworking

Abstract Coworking spaces have been established in great numbers around the globe over the past 10 years. Previous studies on coworking spaces argue that these spaces are designed to enable serendipitous encounters. Here we introduce the concept of an economy of encounters, arguing that both intended and unintended encounters have become a form of production in the knowledge-based new economy. The article presents the changes in railway network in Upper Silesia in the years 1950-1990. In the mentioned period, three main processes of change may be distinguished. The period of the expansion of railway lines, which fell mainly for the years 1950−1980 with varying intensity. Besides the construction of new lines and second tracks, a modernization of technical equipment of the railway lines was undertaken. The period 1960−1990, which included the process of implementing the electrical traction in place of the outdated steam traction and the modern, but expensive diesel traction. Crisis response strategies in Finland and Spain

Crises are common in today's unpredictable environment rising the importance of crisis response strategies. Two societies in Europe are chosen: Finland, where trust in society is generalized to institutions, and Spain, where trust in society remains on the level of individuals. Using the results of the European Communication Monitor 2013 survey on crisis communication, we explored three hypotheses: “certain types of crises are often met with certain types of strategies,” “cultural context makes some crises more likely than others,” and “cultural context makes some response strategies more likely than others.” We find evidence for all three hypotheses and discuss our findings about perceived…

In particolare, tenuto conto dell'incidenza degli strumenti tecnologici sui vincoli gerarchici e sulla natura e le modalità di esercizio dei poteri dell’imprenditore nei confronti di chi presta lavoro, il volume si interroga sugli effetti specifici che ne derivano per i principi di dignità, libertà e sicurezza sanciti dalla Costituzione. Al contempo si indicano le soluzioni proposte dall’ordinamento giuridico sul piano della delimitazione di quei poteri e della salvaguardia di quei principi.
