Resumen: El modelo de mujer espiritual, de beata, fue siempre el mismo a lo largo de la Edad Moderna. En todas las vidas de mujeres, los biógrafos siguieron un patrón o arquetipo y éste se reprodujo hasta bien entrado el siglo XVIII, y perduró hasta el siglo XIX. No obstante, es necesario profundizar en cada una de las biografías para comprender que cada vida de mujer fue también única y singular. Historia urbana y mezzogiorno de Italia en la Edad Moderna: propuesta de un cuestionario

The history of urbanization has barely been analyzed for the Mezzogiorno in Italy. This has partly been due to the persistence of stereotypes in Italian historiography, and partly due to the current definition of city functions. The article results from a meeting of specialists in Early Modern southern Italian history organized to undertake the rigorous and detailed study of the common features and the differences within the urban systems of the Mezzogiorno, in order to synthesize the specific character of urbanization in southern Italy over the long term. The author outlines the main areas under study and establishes its methodological foundations and first hypotheses.

Este artículo tiene por objeto analizar el encuentro entre Valdismo y Reforma, y la trasformación del movimiento herético medieval en iglesia reformada a través del examen de dos confesiones de fe: la Declaración del Sínodo de Chanforan (1532), por medio de la cual se determina la incorporación de los valdenses a la Reforma, y la Confesión de fe valdense de 1655, en la que podemos relevar los rasgos de una iglesia ya claramente definida, provista de una doctrina, una organización y una disciplina eclesiástica marcadamente protestantes.

ABSTRACT: This study analyzes the meaning of the impresa or device of the pomegranates, with the motto « Agro dulce », utilized by Henry IV (1425-1474), of the House of Trastamara, King of Castile from 1454 until his death. By means of a review of vestiges that remain of the device, especially in architectonic elements, I postulate that the pomegranate may have been used as the family impresa of the House of Trastamara and their descendants. This, it seems, can be deduced from the pictura of the device in several personal imprese of relatives who lived in the sixteenth century.
