Investigating the physical mechanisms driving the dynamical evolution of young star clusters is fundamental to our understanding of the star formation process and the properties of the Galactic field stars. The young (~2Myr) and partially embedded cluster Chamaeleon I is one of the closest laboratories to study the early stages of star cluster dynamics in a low-density environment. The aim of this work is to study the structural and kinematical properties of this cluster combining parameters from the high-resolution spectroscopic observations of the Gaia-ESO Survey with data from the literature. Trumpler 23 is a moderately populated, intermediate-age open cluster within the solar circle at a R_GC_~6kpc. It is in a crowded field very close to the Galactic plane and the color-magnitude diagram shows significant field contamination and possible differential reddening; it is a relatively understudied cluster for these reasons, but its location makes it a key object for determining Galactic abundance distributions. New data from the Gaia-ESO Survey enable the first ever radial velocity and spectroscopic metallicity measurements for this cluster. In this survey, we present some results on the behavior of effective properties in presence of perturbations of the geometric and physical parameters. We first consider the case of a Newtonian fluid flowing at low Reynolds numbers around a periodic array of cylinders. We show the results of [43], where it is proven that the average longitudinal flow depends real analytically upon perturbations of the periodicity structure and the cross section of the cylinders. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zweryfikowanie, w jaki sposób autorzy podręczników szkolnych proponują kształcić umiejętność słuchania na lekcjach języka polskiego. Autorka po omówieniu specyfiki słuchania w komunikacji interpersonalnej oraz szczegółowych sprawności percepcyjnych, wyznacza cele doskonalenia słuchowego odbioru w edukacji polonistycznej. Następnie przedstawia analizę zadań dydaktycznych sklasyfikowanych ze względu na rozwijaną sprawność percepcyjną. Artykuł kończy się ukazaniem modelu kształcenia umiejętności słuchania wyłaniającego się z wybranych podręczników szkolnych.

Predictive First-principles Modeling of a Photosynthetic Antenna Protein : The Fenna-Matthews-Olson Complex

High efficiency of light harvesting in photosynthetic pigment-protein complexes is governed by evolutionary-perfected protein-assisted tuning of individual pigment properties and inter-pigment interactions. Due to the large number of spectrally overlapping pigments in a typical photosynthetic complex, experimental methods often fail to unambiguously identify individual chromophore properties. Here we report a first principles-based modeling protocol capable of predicting properties of pigments in protein environment to a high precision.
