This article examines processes of authenticating and selling handicrafts at the conjuncture of cultural pride and economic profit in two peripheral sites (Finnish Sámiland and rural Québec), under shared conditions of late capitalism and globalising political economies. These conditions (re)structure traditionalist and modernist discourses about artisans' historical bodies, their connections to the local land (nature), and how they interactionally authenticate and sell their products through language. Este artículo trata del denominado «apareamiento por la boca» (oriscoitus) de las serpientes y su simbología en los libros de emblemas latinos de los siglos XVI y XVII, revisando las diferentes interpretaciones que los autores ofrecen de este ancestral argumento e identificando las fuentes (literarias y gráficas) clásicas, medievales y renacentistas. -Rafael.G-Mahiques@uv.es Estudio iconográfico de los frescos de la cúpula de la Basílica de la Virgen de los Desamparados de Valencia, obra de Antonio Palomino realizada entre 1701 y 1704. Aproximación a un análisis del ámbito de la Gloria celestial. Aquí la Virgen aparece como reina e intercesora ante el Trono de Gracia, en donde, de acuerdo con la tradición iconográfica, se incluye a San Juan Bautista y los arma Christi portados por ángeles.
