In brief, IP strategies are means of capturing returns on innovation investments. This article focuses on skilled migration flows from Southern Europe into Mexico. From semi-structured interviews with Spanish and Italian immigrants living in four Mexican cities of Mexico, it addresses both reasons for immigration and labour incorporation in Mexican labour markets. Specifically, it explores: i) the role of the economic crisis and the lack of good employment in the countries of origin as a key factor when deciding an international migration; ii) the employment opportunities offered in Mexican labour markets for the highly-skilled immigrants, and iii) the role played by the Mexican state and its current immigration law when channelling this group into the labour market

The objective of the paper is to provide an insight on the Romanian higher education and to analyse the graduate employment in Romania during the 2006-2010 period. The conclusions reveal that the Romanian graduate employment registered a continuous decrease in its figures during the whole analysed period.

Economically, the County of Sibiu has been characterized, especially after 2007, by an accelerated speed of development, the recorded increase pushing our County among the most dynamic economies at regional and national level as well. The present paper aims at analyzing the specificity of the economic development of Sibiu County, namely to identify the resources of the obtained economic progress. The purpose of this study also consists in identifying new opportunities for the local economy, outlining new sources of development that are more important as competition, both at regional and national level, is tighter and tighter.
Transitions out of unemployment: The role of social networks' topology and firms' recruitment strategies

In this paper we study the effects of job contact networks on out-of-unemployment transitions. We find that social connections produce sizable increases in upward mobility from unemployment and, caeteris paribus, symmetric network topologies perform better than asymmetric ones. Furthermore, in scale-free networks the probability of transitions out of unemployment increases in the exponent of the power-law degree distribution, but its value is much lower than the one attainable in Poisson random networks. In addition, and most interestingly, these results strongly depends on the different hypotheses on the firms' recruitment strategy.

The purpose of this study is to investigate personal, health, work, and work-related psychological factors in association with employee intentions of early retirement and continuing to work after retirement in the form of bridge employment. In addition, the study aims to further our understanding of what motivates older employees by investigating age-related differences in employee reward preferences.
