A new classification based on gene expression profiling or immunohistochemical (IHC) characteristics may replace current histopathological classifications and predict better clinical outcomes. We used IHC markers to classify incident cases ascertained by the Palermo Breast Cancer Registry (2002-2004) into four subtypes: luminal-A (ER+ or PgR+ and HER2/neu-); luminal-B (ER+ or PgR+, HER2/neu+); basal-like (ER-, PgR-, HER2/neu-); and HER2+/ER- (HER2/neu+, ER-, PgR-). Aim: Osimertinib improves progression-free survival in first-line EGFR mutation–positive non-small-cell lung cancer. Materials & methods: A Markov cohort model including costs, utilities and disutilities, was conducted to estimate quality-adjusted life-year (QALY) and incremental cost–effectiveness ratio when treating with osimertinib versus standard first-line tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). Results: Osimertinib presented higher QALYs (0.61) compared with standard EGFR–TKIs (0.42). Osimertinib costs were €83,258.99, in comparison with €29,209.45 for the standard EGFR–TKIs. International audience; We aim to describe trends in net survival (NS) and to assess the prognostic factors among women with de novo metastatic breast cancer (MBC) according to human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and hormone receptor (HR) status. Data on women suffering from de novo MBC and diagnosed from 1998 to 2009 were provided by the Côte-d'Or breast cancer registry. NS was described using the Pohar Perme estimator and prognostic factors were investigated in a generalised linear model. We identified 232 patients (mean age = 64.7).
