The aim of this study was to develop and test a model that examined the interactions among the customer value framework, recommendation intention and customer characteristics in an online travel community (OTC). Data were obtained using Amazon Mechanical Turk from 251 members of an OTC as a sample. The partial least squares method was used to analyse the data. We found that all the variables of the customer value framework, including functional value, hedonic value and social value, were positively related to recommendation intention. Pre-service subject teachers’ personal teacher characterisations after the pedagogical studies

This study explored how five pre-service subject teachers characterised themselves as teachers after completing their year-long pedagogical studies in a Finnish university. Our narrative analysis of the interview data showed that the students shared a social representation of a past teacher characterised by wide power and emotional distance between pupils and the teacher. The students differentiated themselves from this kind of teacher character, and rather positioned themselves as interactive and caring educators identifying with their own ideal teachers as well as meaningful learning experiences in the pedagogical studies. In this Thesis, transport in complex nonequilibrium many-particle systems is studied using numerical master equation approach and Monte Carlo simulations. We focus on the transport of the center-of-mass of deformable objects with internal structure. Two physical systems are studied in detail: linear polymers using the Rubinstein-Duke model and single-layer metal-on-metal atomic islands using a semi-empirical lattice model. Laikā, kad Latvijā notiek aktīva diskusija par advokāta procesa ieviešanu un tā apjomu, joprojām pastāv neskaidrības saistībā ar advokāta pilnvarojuma apjomu dažādu procesuālo darbību veikšanai un paša „advokāta” jēdziena nozīmi civilprocesā. Ne tikai studenti un jomas speciālisti, bet arī tiesas ne vienmēr spēj skaidri norobežot pārstāvības un juridiskās palīdzības institūtus. Autors veicis šo pētījumu, lai ne tikai veicinātu vienotu izpratni par minētajiem tiesību jautājumiem, bet arī veicinātu ātrāku un kvalitatīvāku advokāta procesa ieviešanu Latvijā, tādējādi samazinot tiesu noslogotību un padarot tiesas procesu efektīvāku.
