Abstract The concept of the high‐affinity state postulates that a certain subset of G‐protein‐coupled receptors is primarily responsible for receptor signaling in the living brain. Assessing the abundance of this subset is thus potentially highly relevant for studies concerning the responses of neurotransmission to pharmacological or physiological stimuli and the dysregulation of neurotransmission in neurological or psychiatric disorders. Bakalaura darbs “Reklāma sociālajā tīklā “Facebook": auditorijas perspektīva” ir izstrādāts ar mērķi uzzināt, kā reklāmdevēji skatās uz “Facebook” auditoriju, kā auditorija lieto sociālo tīklu “Facebook”, kāda ir tās attieksme pret reklāmu tajā, kādi ir izvairīšanās no reklāmas iemesli un kā to samazināt. Darba teorētiskā bāze ir lietojum un apmierinājuma teorija, psiholoģiskās pretestības teorija, ka arī teorija par mediju auditoriju, attieksmi un ieskats akadēmiskajā literatūrā par izvairīšanās no reklāmas fenomenu. Pētījuma daļā tika izmantotas divas metodes: daļēji strukturētas intervijas un aptauja. Tika veiktas divas intervijas ar reklāmas speciālistiem un 124 respondentu atbildes.

Objective: To investigate associations of family-related factors with children's breakfast consumption and BMI-z-score and to examine whether children's breakfast consumption mediates associations between family-related factors and children's BMI-z-score. Subjects: Ten-to twelve-year-old children (n = 6374; mean age = 11.6 +/- 0.7 years, 53.2% girls, mean BMI-z-score = 0.4 +/- 1.2) and one of their parents (n = 6374; mean age = 41.4 +/- 5.3 years, 82.7% female, mean BMI = 24.5 +/- 4.2 kg/m(2)) were recruited from schools in eight European countries (Belgium, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, and Switzerland). Darbā ir apkopota literatūra par vara substrātu, tā priekšapstrādes metodēm un to ietekmi uz ķīmisko tvaiku nogulsnēta grafēnu, Holla efektu. Vara substrāti tika priekš-apstrādāti ar dažādam metodēm: priekš-atkvēlināti, ķīmiski un elektroķīmiski pulēti. Vara graudu lielumi, pēc grafēna sintēzes uz vara substrātiem, tika aprēķināti, apstrādājot skenējošā elektronu un optiskā mikroskopa attēlus. Vara starpgraudu robežu dziļumi un vara virsmas raupjums tika noteikts ar atomspēku mikroskopu. Darbā parādīta iegūto grafēna paraugu lādiņu nesēju kustīguma un īpatnējās pretestības atkarībā no substrāta apstrādes veida.
Isolated childhood growth hormone deficiency: a 30-year experience on final height and a new prediction model

Purpose We aimed to evaluate the near-final height (nFHt) in a large cohort of pediatricpatients with growth hormone deficiency (GHD) and to elaborate a new predictive method of nFHt. Methods We recruited GHD patients diagnosed between 1987 and 2014 and followed-up until nFHt. To predict the values of nFHt, each predictor was run in a univariable spline. Results We enrolled 1051 patients. Pre-treatment height was -2.43 SDS, lower than parental height (THt) (-1.09 SDS, p < 0.001). The dose of recombinant human GH (rhGH) was 0.21mg/kg/week at start of treatment. nFHt was -1.08 SDS (height gain 1.27 SDS), higher than pre-treatment height (p < 0.001) and comparable to THt. 1.6% of the pat…

Izpētīja temperatūras ietekmi uz pārnestā un virsū folijai palikušā grafēna kvalitāti, par tās kritēriju izmantojot grafēnam raksturīgo Ramana spektroskopijas signālu intensitāšu attiecību un ar grafēnu pārklāto membrānu pretestību izmaiņas.

Purpose: To investigate the validity and test–retest reliability of a single seven-level scale physical activity assessment question (SR-PA L7) and its three-level categorization (SR-PA C3).
